Happy Friday! We can't believe it is only one week until Christmas! Who is feeling holly jolly??

We are at Random Acts of Pizza because we had the pleasure of making pizza for an awesome school administrator! She is the Head of School at Bishop Ireton. She is an amazing, passionate leader, and truly cares about students, faculty, families and the whole BI community. She moved heaven and earth to get and keep BI students in school last year. She has done a wonderful job leading through the pandemic. Keep up the amazing work!

Happy Pizza Friday! Tonight we continue with pizzas for amazing teachers making a difference for their students!

We have a nomination for Kimberly Crooker, a middle school math teacher at St. Louis. From a very grateful parent - Mrs. Crooker always goes above and beyond for her students. When my daughter was struggling with learning in full time virtual school, Mrs. Crooker came to our house and sat outside with her and went over everything until she understood it all. Katie says "Mrs. Crooker just gets it. She understands that just because you're struggling, it doesn't mean you're not smart, and she keeps trying different things until we all get it."

Thank you Judy for your nomination. We hope Mrs. Crooker enjoys her pizzas tonight!

Next up, our 2nd nomination by Valerie Krause for Ms. Sullivan - 5th grade teacher at Waynewood ES. I nominate Ms. Sullivan because she is a kind, dedicated teacher. She creates lessons that challenge her students and help them gain a deep understanding of concepts. She guides students in developing positive work habits to succeed not only in elementary school, but also throughout the rest of their education. She is an amazing teacher and we are lucky to have her.

Happy Friday everyone! Time to make and eat pizza!

Tonight we have 2 teacher nominations from one of our favorite Waynewood ES teachers - Valerie Krause!

First up, Kathryn Adams at Waynewood ES. Despite it being a challenging year, she keeps smiling and always puts forth her best effort to guide her students, working long hours to ensure their needs are met. She is probably the most patient person I know; the positive impact she has on her students is incredible to see. She is a wonderful teacher and an amazing mom to her two sweet boys.

Happy Friday everyone! We are trying to get back into a pizza making groove. We want to continue what we started last year - bringing joy to folks with pizza.

So help us spread the pizza joy by nominating local folks still struggling with COVID stress or those that have gone above and beyond to make things a little bit better. We hear teachers are really having a hard time right now. Maybe we kick it back into gear with some teacher nominations?!

Just remember, nominees to be local to 22308 (or pretty close) for pick up or delivery.

Welcome to Random Acts of Pizza! Our yummy twist on Random Acts of Kindness.

We want to bring joy to the local Alexandria, VA community through pizza. We started in 2020 during the trying times of quarantine and COVID and made pizzas for nurses, social workers, teachers, firefighters, and everyday folks just trying to get through each day of the COVID virus. Those that worked hard, went above and beyond, to help those around them and keep some type of normalcy. 😇

Here we are in 2021 and still struggling with the COVID virus and everything that goes with it! We want to continue to make pizzas for our community and spread the pizza joy! 🍕😍🍕

In the end, kindness is all that matters.

Happy Friday everyone! We are so happy to be back making pizzas tonight! it's been awhile and it just feels great to be bringing smiles to others with pizza 😁🍕

Tonight we made pizzas for an awesome teacher at Waynewood ES - Melissa Sullivan. She has had to wear many different hats this year and has always done it with a smile. She is also always willing to help others out.

Today we had a wonderful treat from our friend Jennifer Sondheimer. She is an amazing chef and this morning brought us some of her wonderfully smoky brisket for pizza night.

We topped the pizza with smoked gouda and oaxaca cheeses, brisket, caramelized onions, jalapenos and salsa verde. Luckily we have enough left over so we can test out making a batch of brisket pretzel bombs this weekend.

Jen is currently in the Top 5 round of the Favorite Chef competition. If she wins she's on to the Quarter Finals round and one step closer for the chance to win the grand prize. She has been working on starting a restaurant for a few years now. Winning the competition would give her efforts a huge jump start. Please support her if you can. We can always use a new place to get great food.
