We know we haven’t posted updates in a while, but that doesn’t mean things aren’t happening. We’ve been working on the ‘supporting rooms’ for what will eventually be the cafe and finishing (or close to finishing) them up one at a time. We’ll start with the front room, which will eventually be a casual seating area.

Anyone lose a chain saw? While we working at the corner of Bridge and Main in Alexandria yesterday one fell off a white truck. We pulled it off the street so no one would hit it and thinking the owner might come back, but no one has stopped by.

Random, but is anyone in need of a large tempered glass window? We were going to use it but went with a door instead. It’s roughly 48” by 86”. Looking for $500 for it. (OBO)

Thanks to Dale, Isaac and Robert for helping me swap out the old door on the corner with one I found at G&R. The new one is a much better look. Shope Glass replaced the glasswork in transom to finish off the look.

Free wood. Will need a chain saw and maybe more then one person to load. My guess is for an outside wood burner.

Spent the day clearing more of the bamboo. You can almost see the river, or you will be able to once the pile is gone. So, who wants some freshly cut bamboo?!

The original layout of the building had 3 bedrooms and a bathroom off the second floor, upstairs hallway. We were unsure of what to do with this space, and decided to convert it into a 1 bedroom / 1 bath apartment. We still have some finishing touches that can be done while our son is living there, but this stage of the renovation is FINALLY done!! There aren’t many before pictures of this part of the building, but enough to see the transformation.
