Alden Library & Friends invite you to a free historical lighthouse program this Sunday, October 26th, 2pm at Helena Twp. Community Center. The program is When History Rhymes: Survival and Mystery at White Shoal Lighthouse, and is presented by Lighthouse Keeper, Historian and Author, Jill Ore. Jill will explore the contrasting fates of two ice fisherman who found themselves adrift on ice floes in Lake Michigan, seeking refuge at White Shoal Light for survival. She will also highlight the legacy of White Shoal’s longest serving keeper.
