Great idea, but I think it would make even more sense to honor Dolly Parton at the Knoxville-area airport because it is much closer to her hometown.

Dolly is loved not only throughout Tennessee, but by people all over the world. Naming the airport in her honor would make it easier and more meaningful for fans traveling from around the country and internationally to visit East Tennessee, explore her hometown, and learn about her incredible history and legacy.

Her hometown is less than an hour away, so imagine visitors flying into the Dolly Parton Airport and then traveling straight into the heart of the place that helped shape her story.

This idea is not intended to diminish or erase the significance of the individual currently honored by the airport’s name. That history deserves to be recognized and respected.

At the same time, Dolly Parton’s extraordinary contributions to East Tennessee, her international influence, her philanthropy, and her deep connection to the region make her an important part of Tennessee’s cultural legacy.
Everyone heard about Dolly before, but most of them they may be didn’t test the love of East Tn so let’s give them an opportunity

Had a great time talking and meeting with Rev. Chris BattleBattle of BattleField Farm & Gardens and Angela Dennis . We had a wonderful conversation about the incredible work he is doing through BattleField Farm & Gardens and his vision for the future, including bringing a much needed grocery store ONE FIVE to East Knoxville near the downtown area

Rev. Battle has a great dream and a strong plan to help make our city and community better. I’m excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to do more together as we continue working to strengthen and serve our community.

We’re very excited that our trademark application for Yassin Falafel House has been approved!

It took us a long time to get to this point, but we finally found the right help through the University of Tennessee, Knoxville
, Knoxville LEGAL CLINIC We truly appreciate their guidance, support, and everything they do for our community.

We are grateful to everyone who helped us along the way, and we’re excited for what’s ahead for Yassin Falafel House!

Today we lost a true legend. Dolly Parton was so much more than an incredible singer and songwriter. She came from humble beginnings and used her success to lift others up helping millions of children receive free books through her Imagination Library, supporting education and scholarships, helping communities in times of need, contributing to medical research, building businesses that created jobs, and giving us music that touched generations.

Her passing reminds us that no matter how much money, fame, or success we have, none of it goes with us. What remains is the love we gave, the people we helped, and the good or bad we leave behind. Dolly left this world with a beautiful legacy of , kindness, generosity, and love. May we all live our lives in a way that leaves something good behind. Rest in peace, Dolly.

Very sad to see our favourite local toy and comic store closing its doors. They have been such a wonderful part of our community and have shown incredible support over the years, especially for our Children’s Hospital.

We wish the whole team all the very best in whatever comes next especially our tall man friend! ❤️ Thank you for all the memories, kindness, and everything you’ve done for our community.

And just a small reminder to everyone: we’ve lost far too many small businesses this year. Please remember to shop local and support the independent businesses in your community whenever you can. Every purchase, visit, share, and recommendation really does make a difference. ❤️

We had such a wonderful time at the Community Table today with Robin and Abby from the Knoxville chapter of Women of Welcome.

Our conversation reminded us that even when we have different beliefs, we can always find common ground in choosing kindness and doing good for one another.

We’re so grateful for everyone who joins these conversations and hope even more community members and local leaders will pull up a chair. There’s always room at the table.
