Over 500 entries into our giveaway with Maple Lane Maze!! Absolutely incredible!

One of my favorite things about owning a local business is getting to team up with other local businesses and do some really cool stuff for the community. When we put our heads together, good things tend to happen.

And judging by the response to this giveaway, I think we’re gonna have to do a whole lot more of it. 😂

Valerie, you have absolutely no idea how much I love reading that!

Of all the things you could’ve said about us, THAT ONE hits different.

Because that’s the whole damn point.

We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel over here. We’re talking about a little sandwich shop that’s been feeding this community since 1983. There are people eating lunch with us today who used to come in here with their parents when they were kids.

And I want that first bite to taste exactly like they remember it.

We’ve spent a lot of time figuring out how to make Subs & Such better without losing what made people fall in love with it in the first place.

And apparently, we’re doing something right 😂

But I also want y’all to read what Valerie said about how our team treated her friend’s daughter. Because THAT matters. A whole lot.

Good food is what gets people through the door. How we treat people is what makes this place worth coming back to 🧡

WELL, WELL, WELL… LOOK WHO’S BACK 👀

We’ve heard you. For YEARS 😂

“Are you ever bringing the Tex Mex Salad back?”

The answer is finally YES.

Starting TOMORROW, one of the old-school Subs & Such favorites is officially back on the menu 🌮🥗

Seasoned ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, shredded Colby Jack, tortilla chips, salsa, and jalapeños if you want a little extra trouble 🔥

But while we’re digging through the Subs & Such history books…

WE BROUGHT THE TEX MEX HOT DOG BACK TOO 🌭🔥

Seasoned beef, melted Colby Jack and jalapeños piled on one of our steamed hot dogs.

Yep. Like the old days.

🔥 FIELD TRIPS & SUCH: TRIPLE F 🔥

PART 2

Alright. Enough looking around. Time to get after it 💪🏼

Time to find out what this place is actually about.

Jackson, the young man leading Triple F Elite Sports Training here in Blount County, put me through one of their adult workouts.

And he absolutely kicked my tail 😂

But that’s also why I wanted to do this part.

You don’t have to be 17 years old, trying to earn a scholarship, or training for the NFL to walk through these doors.

Their adult group training is for regular people too. People who want to get stronger, move better, get back in shape, or just want somebody who knows what they’re doing to tell them what the hell to do lol

And while Jackson puts me through it, Kevin gets into something even more important: the WHY behind Triple F.

Because the more time I’ve spent around these guys, the more I’ve realized this isn’t really just about building better athletes.

It’s about building better people 👌🏼

Triple F Blount County officially opens Monday, September 21st, right next door to us in Midland Plaza Alcoa.

🔥 FIELD TRIPS & SUCH: TRIPLE F 🔥

PART 1

We’ve been watching this one come together for a while.

Our new neighbors at Triple F Elite Sports Training officially open their doors Monday, September 21st. And after spending the last few months getting to know the people behind it, I’m pretty darn excited to see them finally get going here in Blount County!

If you’re not familiar with Triple F, the name stands for Faith. Family. Fitness.

And while they’re probably best known for the work they do developing young athletes, that’s only part of what they’re bringing to Alcoa.

They work with kids and athletes at all different levels, but they also have group training for adults. And I think that’s something a lot of people, myself included, might not realize when they first hear what Triple F is all about.

So before the doors officially open, I walked about 30 feet next door to take y’all on a tour 💪🏼

Here’s Part 1: what Triple F is, who it’s for, and a look around the incredible facility they’ve built right here in Midland Plaza Alcoa.

Part 2 is where I stop talking and Jackson puts my ass to work lol

Soooooo… we may have gotten a little carried away 😂

What started as “hey, we should probably add a couple things to catering” quickly became “well, while we’re at it…”

And now we’ve got sandwich trays, giant salads, pickle buckets, pepper buckets, catering-size potato salad and soups.

And honestly? We’re pretty damn excited about it.

We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to make feeding 10, 20, 50 or 100+ people easier. Office lunches, meetings, team meals, parties, weddings, family get-togethers… whatever you’ve got going on, we can feed it.

But the part we’re probably most excited about isn’t even the food.

We wanted catering with us to feel different. More personal. Less “press 2 to speak with someone about your order.”

So call or text 865-202-4916 and you’re not getting some random phone at the shop. You’re getting a direct line to Jenn, our Catering Director.
