There are some moments that remind you this place is becoming more than just somewhere to grab lunch.

This morning, one of our longtime customers stopped in with a box of Richy Kreme Donuts for the team.

She told us she just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for working hard.
Thank you for taking care of people.
Thank you for helping make it possible for us to keep showing up for this community.

She also said she’s been coming here for so many years that the girls know her order by heart. That made everybody laugh… because it’s true 😂

I don’t know… there’s just something really cool about seeing the people who take care of this community get taken care of every once in a while.

So to our sweet customer… thank you for reminding the team that people notice.

And to our crew… this is exactly why you matter 🧡

340 sandwiches.

That’s the biggest catering order we’ve ever put together 👀

340 sandwiches.
340 bags of chips.
340 cookies.
340 lunches headed to the Maryville College Soccer Camp.

And our team here is absolutely world class and knocked out this order while also crushing the beginning of our lunch.

Fortunate is an understatement for how I feel about the team here. They are THE BEST TEAM IN BLOUNT COUNTY! I’d put my life on that statement!!

Pictured with me, though, is the man himself, Coach Pepe, Maryville College’s soccer coach!!!! Around here, he’s a local legend for good reason.

I can’t thank Coach Pepe enough for trusting us with an order of this size and for giving us another opportunity to support the next generation right here in our community.

Since it was benefiting our local high school soccer programs, we were honored to donate this one. Opportunities like that are a big part of why we love doing what we do.

And if you’re wondering whether we can handle your next catering order…

Last week we had a major plumbing issue at the shop and I needed some professionals to take a look.

I called Ricky with Wilson Brothers Plumbing Inc..

I originally met Ricky by way of a leadership/book club thing hosted by Pinnacle Bank. Regina Jennings brought a group of local business owners together every week, and Ricky’s wife and son were part of it. Through that connection, Ricky and I got to know each other. What started as an introduction has turned into a friendship that I genuinely value.

Ricky and his service manager Josh showed up almost immediately. After looking things over, they recommended bringing in someone to listen for an underground leak. While we waited, we spent a couple hours just standing around talking about business, family, life, and whatever else came up.

At some point I mentioned that my boys are absolutely obsessed with Monster Jam.

And when I say obsessed, I mean OBSESSED.

Sparkle Smash. El Toro Loco. Monster trucks all day, every day. We’re taking them to Monster Jam next month and if you’ve spent five minutes around our family lately, you know we’ve officially become a monster truck family.

What I didn’t know was that while we were standing there talking, Ricky had already ordered these backpacks.

Yesterday he stopped by and dropped them off.

Truthfully, if he’d never bought a thing, I’d still be thankful for the friendship we’ve built and the relationship we’ve developed. That’s already worth a lot to me.

But seeing someone listen to a conversation, remember a detail about your kids, and then quietly go do something about it… that hits different.

The boys wore these backpacks everywhere yesterday.

In the car.
Around the house.
Out in the garden picking tomatoes and cucumbers.
Pretty sure they would’ve slept in them if we’d let them.

To them, these are the coolest backpacks on planet Earth.

To me, they’re a reminder that character still matters.

Needless to say, we’ve got a plumbing company locked in.

More importantly, we’ve made friends for life.

If you’re looking for a plumber, Wilson Brothers Plumbing is my recommendation. Not just because they’re good at what they do, but because they’re good people.

And good people are hard to find. ❤️
