the Grain Station

the Grain Station A family friendly restaurant serving American and German foods for lunch and dinner. The vibe is wildly mellow. It's surely one of a kind. Wine is available also.

Founded by Kenneth Ashley, a German-American, born and raised in Germany, the design and menu concept of the Grain Station was inspired by the owner's multicultural history. It's low key for sure but the decor and furnishings may excite you. There is a big love of old school rock and hip-hop here which is evident the moment you sit at the bar, the heart of the establishment. It's top is inlayed wi

th many of the owners life's collection of cassette tapes. The furnishings are rustic but have a comfy, tavern"ish" character. Many of the tables and wall decor are also homemade works of art you have to see in person. There are items on display reflective of another time. Two display cases of old school boom boxes might blow you away. The walls don many original artworks by local artists. Some were generously donated and others are available to purchase. You will also see shelves packed with a multitude of collector spray paint cans that only make up part of this unique setting. The Grain Station serves up to 18 Craft beers on tap . We also have dozens of bottled favorites to choose from. But lets not forget the food! Come early and enjoy homemade cakes with a cup of Joe or a hot tea. For lunch try a bratwurst, curry wurst, or a schnitzel sandwich. Or if you wish to eat more traditionally try the mouth-watering Philly Cheesesteak, a juicy burger, or a veggie burger. And if you dare you can order the hot wings we proudly call "Screamers!!!" (these can be ordered naked with sauce on the side). No matter what, your visit will be one to remember. Come say hi and relax with us at the Grain Station.

Cindy here. Greetings to all. I’m using The Grain page to promote a current sale on my artwork. Roll through Old Town and say hi. Check out my artwork at The Raine Gallery and maybe pick up a gorgeous houseplant at The Houseplant Store where my friends have so kindly let me “live.” 🤣 Devon Thompson 😘

And of course, your favorite bartender of all time, Ken, wishes you well. Peace ✌🏼

HEY GRAIN FAMILY! A long post from me, Cindy. Please read. 🙏🏼

Ken is good and well and sends “Peace and Love!” We just celebrated 25 years of wedded “bliss!” Doing well ❤️ We both hope you are all well and happy and getting back into the groove after the longest year ever.

I’m taking this opportunity tonight to reach out to you all and share my personal good news. Because of my good friends, Devon and Alex, owners of a new local rare houseplant store, I now have a stationary setting to showcase my art. I am extending this invitation to you all, our exclusive Grain Family to visit us at The Houseplant Store 2043 S Plaza Street in Old Town Albuquerque (next to The Breaking Bad Store.) Come check out the goods (and trust me these plants are immaculate!) If you spend $75 or more on plants and/or plant products I will guarantee a 10% discount on any of my in store original artwork. Use this discount at time of purchase or leave your email for me and I will personally send you a coupon to use anytime within 12 months. Just let us know that you saw this post and I will verify you are a Facebook Grain Fam follower.

I cannot say it enough, you’ve been there from the get go, and I (Ken and I) appreciate your support through the years! Thank you all and I hope to see your faces again! I may not be serving beer or brats these days but I’m hoping what I have to offer today will be just as satisfying and perhaps longer lasting? Much love 🙏🏼💗

RIP Gregory Mrvl Tafoya Tafoya 🙏🏼

Our community has been enduring another great loss. His passing is such a tremendous heartbreak for so many. His soul too soon taken from us all. RIP homie. Another good one gone until we meet again. Thank you for the light you’ve shined. Good night.

What’s up Grain Fam! Is it odd that we continue to stay in touch? We don’t think so. With all we’ve endured there is no such thing as the impossible! Life goes on. True to the spirit of hospitality and the drive to promote community spirit, we are still proud to announce our support of fellow sponsors. Please keep our locals alive! We cannot name all of them tonight, but will surely start promoting in the weeks to come: summer is approaching friends. Be loyal, be respectful, and by all means... tip your server!

Hello Grain Fam! Hope you are all safe and well. So my Dad is taking part in a competition to get his dream bike built and be featured on Orange County choppers. It’s been a long process but after several weeks, he’s managed to make it to the semi-final round. I’m reaching out in every way I can to solicit votes. Will you please tap on the link and tap again on the “free Vote” and that’s it??? So simple. If you can do this every day we may actually have a chance to get Dad to his goal! Thanks guys. 🙏🏼

Will Mike Mattiuz get to experience the opportunity of a lifetime?

Hey Grain fam!!!
It’s been a minute but not a minute missed. We are missing you more than you know. Hope you are all safe and sound. On behalf of the Grain Crew, I (Cindy) want to let you know all is well. We are all good and working through this pandemic as best as we can. Ken gives his love. He is working his ass off. No surprise. I’m self employed, I’m selling my own art. One day we will hit that lotto jackpot and The Grain will be reborn! Until then our dear friends, we wish you all well. Be safe and be good to each other. And as always “Prost!” 🍺
