Meet Nonna. ❤️🇮🇹

If you've ever wondered what makes Mario's Pizza so special, the answer has always been standing right in the kitchen.

A first-generation Sicilian-American, Nonna and her husband, Mario, built a life together around family, hard work, and really good pizza. After Mario opened his first pizzeria in Queens in 1965, one summer trip changed everything. In 1972, they packed up the family, headed to Albuquerque, and brought Nonna's treasured Sicilian recipes with them. The rest is history.

To this day, Nonna is the heart of Mario's Pizza. She's living proof that the best ingredients are love, tradition, and making sure everyone leaves with a full stomach. She'll still jump behind the pizza oven from time to time—and if you're lucky, you might catch one of her stories, a laugh that fills the room, or a reminder that you're too skinny and need another slice. 🍕❤️

Some recipes never change. Neither does the love that goes into every pizza.
