Welcome to The Sprinkle Scoop, hosted by Mrs. Sprinkles herself aka myself lol Amanda Bridgman!
Over the years, I've received hundreds of questions about Mrs. Sprinkles Ice Cream Parlor from how it all started and where the name came from, to whether we'll ever expand, franchise, or make our own ice cream. The Sprinkle Scoop is a place where I'll sit down and answer some of the most frequently asked questions, share the stories behind the business, and give you a peek behind the sprinkles. I'll be talking about the highs, the lows, the challenges, the victories, and the moments that helped shape Mrs. Sprinkles into what it is today. Whether you've been with me since the ice cream truck days or you're just discovering us, I invite you to grab a scoop, settle in, and join me as I share the journey, the lessons learned, and a little bit of the magic behind Mrs. Sprinkles. 🍦🩷✨

For those of you who are new here, my name is Amanda, and I am the owner of Mrs. Sprinkles Ice Cream Parlor.
My journey began in the winter of 2021 when I bought an old ice cream truck and completely revamped her. In the spring of 2022, I hit the streets of Albuquerque, serving ice cream and chasing a dream. Fast forward to 2026, and that little dream has grown into a full-blown successful ice cream parlor.
It has been an incredible journey and one that I have been blessed to experience alongside my family.
When I opened the parlor, the truck naturally took a bit of a backseat. We still did birthday parties, graduations, and special events, but my focus shifted to building the shop. Lately, though, I've found myself spending more time on the truck again. The parlor is running smoothly, and I'm able to step away a little more often and get back out into the community.
And honestly? It has been so much fun.
One of the best parts is that my daughter is older now and can join us at events and birthday parties. Watching her experience this journey alongside me has been something truly special.
People often assume I've always been passionate about ice cream, but the truth is that I've always been passionate about people.
Before buying my truck, I spent over 13 years bartending. What I loved most wasn't making drinks it was connecting with people, building community, and hopefully brightening someone's day, even if only for a few minutes.
Toward the end of COVID, I found myself thinking about the future and looking for something meaningful to build. One night, partly out of boredom and partly out of curiosity, I bought an ice cream truck. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Mrs. Sprinkles was never really born from a love of ice cream. She was born from a love of community, connection, and making people smile. The truck was created for that purpose, and so was the parlor.
So that's a little bit about me and how Mrs. Sprinkles came to be. Thank you for following along on this journey. I hope to see you around town, and I hope to see you at the parlor soon.

These two videos mean more to me than words can truly express. There are many evenings when my daughter and I sit in the ice cream truck and simply play. She pretends to be me, greeting customers, taking orders, serving treats, and spreading smiles. Watching her reenact what she has seen me do reminds me that little eyes are always watching, learning, and growing from the examples we set every day.
One of my proudest moments was watching her work an event and help serve over 100 children from behind the counter of the ice cream truck. She took her job seriously, and brought so much joy to everyone she met. I cannot wait to take her to more events, create more memories together, and continue showing her the beauty of serving others and being part of a community.
She is my why. She is the reason I show up every day, even on the hard days. She is the reason I choose kindness, happiness, love, and compassion. More than building a business, I am trying to build a legacy of generosity and joy that she can carry with her throughout her life. My greatest hope is that she grows up seeing the good in people, finding the bright side of life, and loving our community as deeply as I do. If I can teach her that, then I will have done something truly meaningful. ❀️🍦✨

πŸ‹βœ¨ LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: LEMON HEAVEN 67 βœ¨πŸ‹
Driving home from dinner tonight, we spotted a kid on the corner selling lemonade and decided to stop. And wow... what an incredible little business!
Honestly, this was one of the most impressive lemonade stands I've seen. The setup was clean, organized, and professional, with a full menu, great presentation, and three delicious flavors. Their prices are just $1 for a small and $2 for a large, which I personally think is a steal for the effort they're putting in!
What really stood out were the little details. They handwrote their logo on the cups, added smiley faces and encouraging messages, and even included scripture verses. Whether you're religious or not, you can appreciate the thought and care they put into every cup.
As a small business owner, I always notice customer service and presentation first and Lemon Heaven 67 gets 5 stars from me on both. They absolutely nailed it.
I love seeing kids learn entrepreneurship, work hard, and bring a little nostalgia back to our community. If you see them out there, stop by and support them!
πŸ‹ Tell them Mrs. Sprinkles sent you! πŸ’›
Location: Morrow and chelwood East up Indian school left north on chelwood 1st or 2nd street on the left!

"Fell asleep last night while posting" Today was our 2nd Annual Anything But a Cup Day, and honestly, I don't even know where to begin.
I was stuck behind the register and in a transform costume from 11:45 AM until 8:30 PM. My feet hurt. My hands hurt. My brain hurts. I'm exhausted. I should probably jump in the shower, get some sleep, eat something, and drink some water.
But instead, I'm laying here on my couch completely overwhelmed with gratitude.
What my body lacks right now in energy, my soul makes up for tenfold. Today filled my heart in a way I can't even put into words.
I'm thankful for this community. I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful for my friends. And I'm endlessly thankful for my staff. I say it often, but I truly hope they know that without them, Mrs. Sprinkles would not be where it is today. Every single person who showed up, helped out, volunteered, worked their tails off, stood in line, laughed with us, and supported this crazy idea we did this together.
Last year we had 100 submissions.
This year we had OVER 213 submissions.
Two hundred and thirteen people showed up ready to drink ice cream out of literally anything but a cup, and somehow every single entry seemed more creative than the last. Between the chaos, the laughter, the news crews showing up, the Albuquerque Journal stopping by, and a line that seemed never-ending, today was truly one for the books.
To every customer who patiently waited in line: thank you.
To my staff: thank you.
To my friends and family: thank you.
To this incredible community: thank you.
This is exactly why I do what I do.
Mrs. Sprinkles has given me so much more than a business. It's given me friendships, memories, opportunities to serve others, and a platform to bring people together. Days like today remind me just how special this little ice cream parlor really is.
From the bottom of my Sprinkled heart, thank you.
I'm not sure how we'll ever top this year's Anything But a Cup Day... but then again, I said that last year too. ❀️🍦
