As the owner of Trackside, this isn't the kind of post I enjoy making, and I apologize for the length. But after an interaction we had today, and after staying quiet for far too long, I felt it was finally time to say something.
For quite some time now, we've heard incredibly hurtful rumors about my husband and about our business. Most of the people sharing them have never met us, never sat down for a meal, and never taken the time to get to know who we are.
Quite honestly, I'm tired. Tired of hearing the lies. Tired of watching gossip become "fact" simply because it's been repeated enough times. Those rumors don't just affect our business. They affect our family, our staff, and everyone who works hard every day to make Trackside a place where people feel welcome.
If you've been into Trackside, you've seen how we operate. Every person who walks through our doors is greeted, welcomed, and served with the same respect. That's who we are, and that's who we'll continue to be.
One thing we'd also like to clear up: yes, we're a Dry Pub. That simply means we don't serve alcohol. We proudly offer an extensive selection of non-alcoholic spirits, handcrafted mocktails, specialty coffees, lemonades, energy drinks, and more. If someone heads for the bar, we let them know up front that we don't serve alcohol so there aren't any surprises. We understand that may not be everyone's preference, and that's okay. We just hope you won't miss out on a great meal because we don't serve alcoholic beverages.
If you've supported us, thank you. If you've never been in because of something you've heard, we'd simply ask that you come judge us for yourself.
And one last thing... if you come through our doors looking for good food, friendly conversation, and maybe a little harmless banter, you'll fit right in. If you come through our doors already looking for a fight or determined to believe the worst, there's a good chance you'll leave believing exactly what you came looking for. We'll always do our best to treat people with respect, and we simply ask for that same respect in return.
We'll keep doing what we've always done: serving good food, welcoming good people, and letting our actions speak louder than rumors.
Don't let someone else's story become your first impression. Come in, have a meal, and decide for yourself.
