Sorry to leave everyone hanging with the brick street discussion. We left town early the next morning and unplugged with our family. Yes we visit locally made ice cream shops while traveling as we are always gathering ideas. Huckleberry and Blood Orange were a favorite at this stop. We greatly appreciate everyone’s comments last week. We are really proud of how everyone stayed kind and just stated their opinions. We know we opened ourselves up by posting that but we really wanted to know what people thought. It encouraged us to speak before the council knowing the majority. We used several of your comments to help them understand. We don’t feel it is our responsibility to share exactly what was discussed at the meeting because we don’t want to misspeak. Here’s what we do know! There is going to be a committee formed to discuss and plan for the future of the brick streets. There is some urgency to getting a few details worked out so we are planning an initial meeting tomorrow night at 5:00 at the coffeehouse. Those of you who are passionate about this project stay involved and voice your opinion to your city council members. Thank you for loving our small town and preserving its history. See you tomorrow night!
