Mission Statement for God’s Voice Ministries
To equip the body of Christ to seek and save the lost and fulfill the great commission by creating opportunities to share the Gospel by both word and deed with those that may not attend a traditional church. How does the Albion property help us fulfill our Mission Statement? Previously we have counted primarily on outreach to be able to reach the lost
and generate an opportunity to share the Gospel. Our goal was to get people to ask, “why are you doing this?” and then we would have an opportunity to talk about Jesus, and what impact He has had on us. Today most important conversations happen over lunch, or a coffee. Let’s meet for coffee, or let’s do lunch are a common occurrence. To get to a place where we can talk about Jesus, we first must know someone’s name, then that can progress to knowing their story. The adage “People don’t care what you know, until they know that you care” is very true when talking to a non-believer about our faith. Once we know someone’s story, we will have an opportunity to share our story, and be able to talk about how Jesus has changed our lives. Additionally, once we have someone’s name, we can intentionally pray for them. Through the Café/Restaurant we can connect with people that we may not have been able to connect with before. We can share our outreach events and invite people to come along side of us when we bless the community, whether they are part of our congregation or not. It gives us an opportunity to let people know who we are as a church body, and the unchurched an opportunity to get to know us in a relaxed environment. The 60-person capacity back room gives us a place to hold church services, and a place to perform ministry such as Bible Studies, Youth Group, faith-based addiction recovery such as Celebrate Recovery or any other activities that fit into our mission of sharing the Gospel through word and deed.
