The Eddie Cochran car show was amazing! So many cars, so many people that came to support it! Great job by the organizers putting together such a well attended event!
Thank you to everyone who stopped in and had a drink, a burger or brat, bought a t-shirt, or an ice cream float!
The Post 56 Legion Riders would like to give a huge thank you to Kwik Trip for donating all of the ice cream for our fundraiser! All of the funds raised will be used to design and purchase our annual challenge coin which will be distributed around Christmas time to our veterans living in local nursing and assisted living homes!
We will be doing all of this again on July 4th! We will have the burgers and brats, floats, full bar service, and t-shirts!

**History of the Date: On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress officially approved the design of the national flag to represent the original thirteen colonies.

**Official Recognition: President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation in 1916 establishing June 14 as Flag Day. It was later signed into formal law by President Harry Truman in 1949.

It looks like Saturday will be a beautiful day filled with cars and music! We would love it if you would stop in and support The Legion!
**Full bar service starting at 9:00. This includes homemade Bloody Marys, not that store-bought mix 😀 when they are gone, they're gone! Get yours early.
**Legion members will be grilling burgers and brats. They will also have bottled water for sale.
**Legion Riders are selling ice cream floats. You will receive two generous scoops of vanilla ice cream and a full can of your choice of A&W Root Beer, Orange Crush, or Fanta Strawberry. All proceeds will be used to design and purchase challenge coins which will be distributed to veterans in our local nursing and assisted living homes this fall. $5 each!
** Special edition T-shirts will be on sale. You can still purchase yours in the bar Friday night. Remaining shirts will be available on Saturday during the car show. **cash only $35**

Tonights dinner special has changed. We will have a fried walleye dinner. Comes with smashed red potatoes, green beans, and a roll. $16.99
If you are looking for a light supper, we also have homemade macaroni salad available.

Saturday was hot, humid, and the wood ticks we're out in full force, but this group of Post 56 Legion Riders (and 4+ more not pictured) were out doing ditch clean up! For 10 years The Riders have 2x yearly picked up trash on I90, west and east bound, for 1 mile west of Bridge Ave. They've got some bad knees, some bad backs, and let's face it, they aren't getting any younger 🤣🤣 but this group believes that when everyone does a little, a lot gets done! Thank you Riders for what you do for our veterans, and for helping our highway be just a little bit cleaner! 🇺🇲
