Our Happy Hour Board is here until 7 PM. We are featuring a special Caprese Skewer appetizer for $8.99.

And this weekend’s pasta special: Chicken Pesto Pasta with a side Signature Salad — $17.99

The bar is open until 10 PM, with beers from four breweries, plus our house favorite Peroni for just $4 a bottle.

Prefer wine? We have a selection of reds and whites available by the glass or bottle — and, of course, our Prosecco on draft is cold, bubbly, and ready to pour. 🥂

Many people ask me about the art that fills our walls. Most of it has been collected over the years, from 2000 to today, from different corners of the world.

My husband and I have both been fortunate to have careers that took us to some incredible places, and the walls of The Independent have become a physical reminder of those journeys—Japan, Vietnam, Georgia, Turkey, Jordan, Italy, France, among a few.

Each piece tells a personal story. It holds a memory of a place, a moment, or a person, while also offering a little journey somewhere else for anyone who stops to look.

Some of the pieces are for sale. Others are simply here for you to enjoy. Together, they are part of our story—and now, part of the space we get to share with you

Put it in your calendars! We are partnering with Albemarle Pilates and Yoga for a fun morning in the park on Sunday, Spetember 27th. After an hour and half of yoga, we are going to offer participants a choice of a Mediterranean bowl, Special grit Bowl, or Vegetarian Buddha Bowl (bulgur wheat, lentils, hummus, warm pita, avocado, baked egg).
