NEW HOURS

As stated earlier, we have some adjusted hours rolling out starting this week. Some permanent. Some temporary.

PERMANENT CHANGE -> Friday and Saturday nights we are staying open LATER. Starting next week on 9/11 + 9/12 we kick off an 11pm closing time. This is something we have been wanting to do for a while now. Jesse on Friday night and Lydia on Saturday night are both down to keep the good times and the beers pouring for longer. Party time.

TEMPORARY CHANGE -> Starting now, through the rest of September and October we are cutting back our day hours during the week. Wednesday and Thursday we will now open at 4pm (instead of 11:30am). Lucky you, more time with Julia as she offered to hold down the bar and start that night shift an hour earlier these days.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME. Biz as usual.

S L O W P O U R S U N D A Y

Feat.
Spezial: Ungespundet

A couple weeks ago you got to put back pints of one of their famous smoked lagers. Now is a chance to try their unfiltered lager, one of the very few non-smoked beers they masterfully brew in Bamberg, Germany. Soft body as it’s naturally carbonated. Subtle hop character. Rich malt. Silky smooth. A crusher.

Also, my, Colin’s last scheduled shift until I return from leave. I’ll be totally out September, with appearances in October, then back on come November. Lucky you, getting a nice ol’ break from this one and finally spending some quality time with the dream team - Julia, Lydia, Jesse, and Renee on the bar, with Ray holding down the kitchen. In all the ways, you are in the best (better!) hands. You definitely know some, if not all of this crew by now. If not, we are excited for you to meet them. We love ‘em and know you will too. Hours will be adjusted slightly through Sep + Oct, starting this coming week. More on that later.

G E N N Y C R E A M A L E
$5 DRAFT PINTS. ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.

A steady draft line here since January. Cleaned between every keg and poured with care, just as we do every other beer on draft. In fact, the Genny Cream utilizes a different pour style than our other beers. A pour style that you can only get on draft, which is an experience wholly unique from that of which you can get from a can.

It’s a Japanese-style Sharp Pour. We pour the liquid very gently into the glass, creating no head at all, keeping all the carbonation in the liquid. Once 2/3 full, we then put a dense foam cap on top. This foam is wet, drinks like liquid, and is much sweeter than foam you would get by releasing carbonation during the standard pour. We only offer this pour on Genny Cream Ale as it’s fun, unique, and honestly really benefits the drinking experience of it. Try it out!

Going forward, our goal for this line is to always keep it at a $5 price point, ideally. Depending on the beer it may have to be $6, but never more.

We love drinking and bringing in beers from around the world, however now more than ever, these beers can be expensive - not all, but some. A lot of things in life are expensive right now. Going out for a drink with friends should not have to be. So, we want you to know there will always be a draft beer in this price range going forward. For the foreseeable future - it is Genny Cream at $5 a pint.

TONIGHT!

Julia J.🌻🌻✊🏽🍉 returns with her famous, mouthwatering, bonkers, beer can chicken. Don’t be square, get the gettin while the gettin is good. 6pm ‘til sold out.

Whitefish Salad Sandwich + Pale Ale await. We are here for lunch and lunch beers (everything is available in a half pint if that’s all you want) starting at 11:30am.

Maine Beer Co.: Peeper

A classic Pale Ale we always fall back on when it’s available. It’s a beautiful beer. Hopped with some classics - Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial. It’s always just so bright and fresh. A go-to for sure.

In case you did not know, though it seems you do, whitefish sandwich is full blown back. We make a particularly limited amount each day as they are not designed to last long. If you know you are coming in and are gonna want one, we advise you to order ahead, online at link in bio. We are happy to set one aside for you.

Lot’s of exciting films premiering this weekend next door at The Spectrum. Teenage S*x and Death at Camp Miasma from Jane Schoenbrun has finally arrived. Booyah.

Nothing like catching a breeze with proper pint (or half pint) of a well crafted English ale, this one especially.

Ridgeway x Dutchess Ales: Across The Pond

A brand new beer from the hearts and hands of some of our favorite English / English-Style producing breweries. Ridgeway from Oxfordshire, UK and Dutchess Ales from right here in the states. A collab brewed at Ridgeway in Oxfordshire.

If we put a style on it, this one here leans English Pale Ale / Golden Ale. Brewed with heirloom Golden Promise Malt, whole leaf Styrian and Amarillo hops, with Ridgeway’s Brakspear yeast.

A beer to be putting back while you get lost in great conversation surrounded by your favorite company, only to order another round, of the exact same thing, and pick back up right were you left off.

Citrusy, floral, biscuity, with a little bit of orange marmalade. Leaves a little bit of stickiness on the lips too. It’s fantastic.

4.6% abv.

Sandwiches are stocked, ready for you to grab. Beverages are pouring. Here from 11:30am - 10pm.

Westmalle : Duo

For those of you that know, kegs from this trappist brewery don’t make it stateside often. This one in particular, is a brand new offering that is only available on draft. Never bottled.

Duo is a blend made up of 60% Tripel and 40% of Extra, their crisp lower alcohol offering. What we are drinking is a nice and full bodied golden ale leaning tripel, that has a nice touch of malty, honey-like sweetness with a bright, dry and bitter finish. A little floral. A little grainy. A lot of lovely. 7.2% abv.

Of course, served up in the stunning proper glassware.

Pouring ‘til 10pm. Drink it outside. It’s nice.

Holy smokes.

Braueri Spezial: Lagerbier

Now on draft.

We have heard a lot of lore behind Spezial from Bamberg, Germany regarding the quality of their beers. We are happy to report, all that was said was said, is true. Only a few of these kegs made it across the sea, when presented the opportunity we jumped on grabbing one.

Dating back to 1536, Spezial focus is on smoked beers, though they do make one or two unsmoked (one of which will be hitting the drafts in time to come). For many, this is THE rauchbier. Mild on the smoke, less on the fruity and rich side, more on the mineral and to***co side. Super crisp. Giving us charred wood left in the fire pit from the bight before type of feelings.

Love it. Might drink this keg ourselves.

A wonderful pint to sit out on the breezy sidewalk patio with. Pouring ‘til 10pm. Sandwiches are stocked.

S P I C Y C A P

It back.

It has been a long while and we are psyched to announce the return of Lauren’s famous Spicy Cap sandwich.

Peppadew Ched (cheddar) spread, pickled celery, and the incredible Spicy Capocollo from all on a nicely oiled sesame seed roll.

Currently cranking them out and stocking up our grab-n-go fridge.

Because of this return, we are taking a little break from the Muffuletta. This is not a goodbye, just a brief intermission from it.
