🍳Hey Albany! We’ve got ONE spot open at Deb’s and we’re looking for the right person to fill it!

We need someone reliable who doesn’t mind getting a little dirty, loves to have fun with us, but can also take good direction when we’re in the weeds. This is the perfect gig if you’re just looking for something to fill your daytime hours — and the schedule doesn’t hurt either: you’ll never work past 3pm, Saturdays we’re out by noon, and Sundays & Mondays are always off.

If you love to cook, you’re already our kind of friend. Come be a part of the family!

💙 With a heavy heart and so much love…

Our sweet Jessica earned her wings this afternoon 🪽

She fought harder than anyone we have ever known — right up until the very end. That was just who she was. A warrior with the biggest heart and one of the most contagious laughs, who never met a stranger and never had a dull moment around her.

Jessica was part of our Deb’s Dinky Diner family for well over a decade. She showed up every single shift — not because she had to, but because that’s who she was. Dependable. Loyal. Irreplaceable.

We are broken hearted. But we are also at peace knowing she is no longer suffering and that she is finally free.

To Dennis and her family — we love you and we are here for you. 💙

🏆 This is what hard work and an amazing team looks like.

Today was a day full of mixed emotions that I will never forget. We started our morning together doing something far more important than winning awards — and ended it at the Best of Midwest Gala accepting four of them.

I could not have done any of this without my Diner Crew and without every single one of you who voted, supported us and kept showing up. From the bottom of my heart — thank you. 💚

We are so blessed.

💙 A Note From Our Diner Family

There are people who come into your life and leave a mark so deep that words almost feel inadequate. For us, Jessica Lopes is one of those people!

For over a decade Jessica has been a constant, dependable and irreplaceable part of our Deb's Dinky Diner family. She showed up every single day she was scheduled — not just when it was easy, but especially when it wasn't. She would be in the bathroom fighting through whatever her body was throwing at her and come right back out ready to work. That is the kind of person she is. Unbreakable. Unstoppable. Unforgettable.

Jessica brought so much more than hard work through our doors. She brought laughter, stories — sometimes the same ones three times a day 😄 — endless energy and a spirit so bright it filled every corner of this place. You can be brutally honest with her and she would just laugh and find the good in it anyway. There is never a dull moment with our Jessica around.

She has fought harder than anyone we have ever known. Time and time again life threw things at her that would have broken most people — and she just kept fighting. Last week she walked into this diner without her cane and we were all so hopeful.

Our hearts are broken as we share that Jessica is facing the biggest fight of her life right now. Our team is closing the diner tomorrow to go be by her side and hold her hand and let her know how deeply she is loved.

Jessica — you are so loved. By this team and by everyone whose life you have touched. Thank you for all the laughs, every story, every "I go... I go... I go" before you finally got to the point 😄. Thank you for never giving up! Thank you for being YOU!

We are praying with everything we have that you find the strength to get through this! 💙 If you are a praying person we humbly ask for your prayers for our Jessica and her family right now! Every single one matters! 💙
