The City Beer Hall is an American beer hall & restaurant housed within downtown Albany’s historic & beautiful old telephone company. Inventive menus focus on locally sourced, seasonal, from-scratch cuisine. Our Executive Chef, Dimitrios Menagias, has been with us loyally since we opened in 2011. He’s passionate about creating new & exciting menus that combine local ingredients with international i

nspiration, while staying true to our American gastropub roots. Featuring some of the best craft beverages in the area; we have 18 rotating beer/cider taps, an extensive can/bottle list, & full bar. If you’re looking for a special brew that’s available in the area, chances are we’re pouring it. Not to mention, guests receive a FREE personal pizza with each beer/cocktail purchased! If you’re not looking to stay long, we offer beer to-go in growlers or cans. We hope to see you soon!

This Friday! A very special night of jazz on the patio with The Dave Gleason and Mike Lawrence Jazz Duo for Friday’s live music 🎶 on the patio!

✨About the artist: The Dave Gleason and Mike Lawrence Jazz Duo can be found playing sophisticated, hard-swinging classic jazz arrangements or grooving on a Latin jazz tune, the interplay between master musicians David Gleason (piano) and Mike Lawrence (bass) is enjoyable to listeners of all ages and backgrounds. 
In the last few years they have been invited to play a variety or clubs, festivals and concerts as they continue to provide the foundation for many other ensembles. They have also appeared as the centerpiece of a “Jazzy Christmas,” and their trio’s first album “Art D’echo Trio” was recently released in 2025.

TONIGHT! Patrick Collins returns for Friday’s live music 🎶 on the patio!

✨About the artist: Patrick Collins is a Hudson Valley singer songwriter. Growing up a skateboarder, an ankle injury led him to follow a life long interest of singing and playing the guitar at the late age of 24. With a homegrown approach and self taught fingerpicking and blues style he mixes an interesting approach to guitar playing and honest lyrics. These songs touch on everyday American life and its struggles in a unique blend.
