During AAPI Heritage Month, we honor the deep cultural roots behind every cup we share. This month, we’re proud to offer an exclusive matcha from Sakata Matabei Farm, an award-winning, multi-generational tea producer we had the privilege of visiting last year. What makes their matcha special is not just the flavor, but the philosophy behind it. The Matabei family oversees every step, from growing and shading the tea plants on their small property to stone-milling, ensuring a level of traceability and care that is increasingly rare in modern, large-scale tea production.

Their spring-harvest matcha is crafted from double-shaded leaves, hand-picked once a year at peak tenderness to preserve its deep umami and vibrant green color. Try Matabei’s Samidori as a SHORT Matcha Latte or enjoy the award-winning Asahi and Samidori cultivar blend in a traditional bowl. Quantity is limited.
