After an incredible run, The War Room Tavern will be closing its doors.
Over the past three years, the War Room became Albany’s most unique political gathering spot — bringing together governors, members of Congress, state leaders, Republicans and Democrats all under one roof. Deals were made, debates were had, friendships were formed, and history was shared over drinks.
The War Room received national attention from the New York Times, New York Post, and Times Union, becoming a true political hotspot in New York.
This decision was not about money. Running multiple projects at once has become too much, and my focus now must go into our massive new project at La Serre and the Greenhouse Social Club.
Closing the War Room is like losing a child, but the new project is like gaining a huge family.
That said, we hope someone keeps the War Room alive.
If a passionate political ju**ie or experienced restaurateur wants to lease or purchase the space and continue the concept — even keep the War Room name — we would love to see it live on.
