Those of you who know us well, know that we have been on a search for several years, for the best pie in America. We have tasted a lot of pie. We settled on the Purple Pie Place in Custer, SD, many years ago...until now. There is a new #1, The Sweet & Savory Pie Co. It can be found in Alanson, MI, with a satellite storefront in Petoskey, MI. We had Michigan cherry and Rhubarb. It's by far the best cherry pie we have ever tasted! Brad couldn't get enough of the best rhubarb pie he's ever had. The crust was so flaky and tender, yet sturdy. IYKYK. The fruit was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. I wish I had thought to take a picture. They offer both sweet and savory pies, and cookies. If you're ever in their neighborhood you have got to try a piece of pie, or an entire pie or two like we did. 🩷🥧🍒
