The Argyle The Argyle is devoted exclusively to the support of the life-saving efforts of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute.

It serves as a bond between the independent research institution and those who give time and money to support it.

On Friday, August 21st, we had an Italian Shaved Ice Food Truck come to the club so that employees could enjoy a cool delicious treat. This is one of the "mini" events we are having in lieu of our Annual Summer Picnic, due to COVID-19 precautions. The shaved ice was enjoyed by all!

The Argyle was fortunate enough to host a special UT dinner during the month of December. We were extra fortunate to have Bevo XV visit The Argyle. It's not every day we have a local Texas celebrity visit!

Thousands participated in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon that took place this past weekend. Two of our very own Argyle employees trained for months and braved the cold weather to run 13.1 miles! Maintenance Supervisor, Jose Anguiano and Night Houseman, Oscar Garcia pushed themselves and completed a half marathon in a little over 2 hours! Oscar’s time was 2 hours and 2 minutes, and Jose’s time was 2 hours and 7 minutes. We are so proud of their accomplishment and are excited for their run again next year!

The Argyle couldn’t be more proud of Maddy Ramirez, an employee of The Argyle, who participated in the JDRF (Junior Diabetes Research Foundation) One Walk this past Sunday, November 10th. Maddy, who herself lives with Type 1 Diabetes, completed her 10k run in a little over an hour. Her participation helped raise awareness and money to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Other Argyle staff showed their support by joining her along the way, wearing a blue bandana in solidarity and by also making a monetary donation in her honor. We love Maddy and are so happy of her accomplishment this past weekend!

Congratulations to Robert Lee for being with The Argyle for 26 years! Having come from other private clubs, Robert fit right in at The Argyle. He started working as a Cocktail Waiter under Novella for a few months and quickly became a Server. Robert worked as a Server for 19 years, and he stepped up to an Interim Captain position when his then fellow coworker, Hector was in a bad motorcycle accident. Once Hector returned, Robert returned to being a Server, but not for long, as General Manager, Michael Vlad, noticed his true value as a full-time Captain, the position he holds now. Thank you Robert for all your hard work!
