Please stay home. So far this month, the City of Alameda has recorded 415 positive COVID-19 cases, almost 40% of all cases to date. If you have plans for New Year’s Eve, it’s not too late to change them.

Statewide, cases are surging on top of surging, ICU capacity is at 0%, and our hospitals are preparing for hard times following travel and people getting together over the winter holidays.

The vaccine brings light at the end of a long, dark tunnel, but that light will shine brighter if we stand together in our resolve to stay home, stop the surge, protect our loved ones and neighbors, and save lives.
