From our beginning days in 1993 as Eddies Pizzeria to our present destination location Eddies on Main Street in Downtown Akron Eddies has become synonymous with Akron ❤️ You've seen us on Spring break, you've seen us at Bike Week, you've seen us at festivals, street fairs, and bars. Now Eddies is back in the heart of Downtown Akron!! Are you ready for Cheesesteak Heaven's return! It all started in Panama City Beach, Florida. Eddie met a cat we’ve only heard stories bout one year down in PCB. Ironically, the soon to be local spring break legend’s name was also Eddie. What happened in Panama City over the course of the next three years is truly what legends are made of! Eddies created Cheesesteaks beyond real- I mean these were an experience. The “Eddie”, a pound and a half of cheesesteak love loaded with the works, was also born in PCB and that took Eddies Famous Cheesesteaks to a new level of fanatic admiration on the beaches of Panama! After the cheesesteak recipe was perfected, Eddie toured the country looking for the perfect french fry. His journey landed him on a boardwalk in Maryland where he finally found what he was looking for, and "WOW" he knew he had found french fry nirvana. After Eddie had his sandwich and his french fry, Cheesesteak Eddie, as the PCB cat came to be known, convinced the original Eddie it was time to open a full time joint. The rest they say, is history. Eddies Famous Cheesesteaks & Grille is fresh stuff right off the griddle- grilled right before your eyes and made to order. Watch our grill masters chop chop and create cheesesteak heaven. Eddies is more than just your typical restaurant. Eddies is fun and an experience in itself! Our soon to be legendary boardwalk fries are amazing, our fresh greens salads are fully loaded with your favorite meats, cheeses, vegetables and topped with any one of our signature homemade dressings; but the real attraction is our cheesesteaks. Our cheesesteaks are 1 foot, 1 pound plus stuffed with midwest sirloin, smothered in provolone and mozzarella cheeses, topped with grilled veggies, all on a steamed fresh bakery Amorosa roll.
