Walk-in micro-bakery specializing in seasonal pastries, macarons, cookies, and cheesecakes, but we make all kinds of stuff. We use primarily all natural and whenever possible, local and organic ingredients. We heard Barack Obama was coming to Cleveland next weekend, which was all the prompting we needed to make little ghosties with his "Don't boo, vote!" quote. 😊👻🫶

But for real, voting is now open for the midterms, so be sure to stop by your local board of elections to get your vote in today! And don't forget to save your "I Voted" sticker, we'll be handing out free cookies on Halloween to everyone with their sticker (1 per person - more on that later!)

Loaded Baked Potato Soup is this weekend's soup, and it's ready for you now! It's GF but definitely full of lots of bacon, cheese, sour cream, milk and basically all the dairy. 🐄 🍲

We also have GF Passion Fruit Chocolate Cheesecake by the slice, and I'm about to finish up a Strawberries & Cream Cheesecake that'll be ready in an hour or so (not GF though, this one's got a Graham crust.)

Tomorrow is my birthday 🥳 and I want two things:

1) I want YOU to VOTE, on *every* candidate and issue. It takes 2 minutes to look up your sample ballot at https://lookup.boe.ohio.gov/vtrapp/summit/ballotlist.aspx (or your local board of elections website) and just another 20-30 minutes to familiarize yourself with the candidates and issues. The choices are pretty cut and dry this year, and every single vote counts. 🙌🗳️

And 2) I want to do a fundraiser for Equal Justice Initiative ! This one is easy peasy, because all you have to do is stop in tomorrow, Thursday October 8th, through Sunday, October 11th between 9am-3pm and treat yourself to anything in our case. 10% of all sales this weekend will be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative to support their important work. In their own words, "The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society." We're open every Wednesday-Sunday from 9am-3pm! We're currently rolling out fall stuff and restocking after a crazy weekend that wiped us out, so if things looked a little bare today, it'll be back to normal tomorrow! 😮‍💨

So I had wanted to roll out a new Handpie, the Beanie We**ie, but we're a little short handed right now as I'm ever so slowly making my way through applicants and interviews, so R&D had to take a back burner. 😥 Good thing we already know you love our Sloppy Joe Handpies, so we've brought those back until I have time to work on a new one. All that to say, Sloppy Joe Handpies are back! 🙌

Nia just trained up on some of our yeasted items, so stop in and try out one of her fresh baked bagels, sandwich buns and focaccia! We've got your choice of Brie, Caramelized Onion & Rosemary, or Tomato, Olive & Basil (Vegan!), or Cheesey Garlic Bread (decidedly not vegan), or plain/salted (also vegan!).

It's coming to the end of Plum Season, so be sure to stop in for a slice of our GF Plum Almond Coffeecake, an Oatmeal Plum Scone, or one of our Brown Butter Plum Crullers. Tomorrow our seasonal cruller flavor switches to everyone's favorite: Apple C***r! 🍎

Speaking of Apple C***r, we've got that too - Hot & Mulled or now iced! But if you need a little more caffeine, our full Fall Drinks menu has options, including our Nutella Latte, Candy Corn Latte, and of course, Pumpkin Spice Latte.

It's that time! 🏃🏾🏃‍♀️🏃🏽🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏿‍♀️

We'll be open tomorrow (Saturday 9/26) from 5AM-NOON for the Akron Marathon! Roads around us will be closing early as we'll be right in the middle of the action, so unless you're coming downtown before 5am for the marathon, don't try to get here before 10-11am, when roads will start opening back up again. 🚧

But for you runners and spectators, we'll see you bright and early with coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits and gravy (GF available! - GF biscuit is pictured in carousel above), bagels, scones, cinnamon rolls, cookies, vegan walnut buns, GF coffeecake, croissants, and so much more. We've even made some GF & Vegan Soup for this first weekend in Fall, so grab a cup of our Roasted Butternut Bisque for an allergy friendly meal with all the flavor. 🫶

Pie tomorrow is Apple Butter Crumble, I'll post more on that in our stories. 🥧

Natural light really is the best for photos of our baked goods, and I like to keep things up to date so the items you find in our case are the same as what you've seen online. It's part of our ongoing commitment to keeping things real with you, and that includes absolutely no AI, ever. 🙅🏼‍♀️✋

In a world full of uncertainty and falsities, comfort food - done right - has only gotten more comforting. Feeding people is an important job, one we take seriously and take pride in as well, so of course we want to show off our work! You've entrusted us with something special (you and yours!) and we are so lucky to be able to cook and bake for you. 🫶

Fall is officially here and I'm so glad that the weather understood the assignment! 🍂🍁🌬️🌦️

A crisp fall day needs a toasty beverage, and starting tomorrow our Fall Drinks are back! This week we're rolling out our new Nutella Latte (like a mocha but less chocolatey and more nutty - makes sense, right 😆), our Candy Corn Latte (don't worry, they do not contain bits of candy corn), our Snickerdoodle Latte, our Rosemary Caramel Latte, and of course our Pumpkin Spice Latte. More to come as we get deeper into fall! ☕🍵🫖

We're also phasing out our summer drinks this week, so stop in for your last Sparkler, Lemonade, Big D, or Passion Fruit Iced Tea while they last!
