Friends and family,
I have rewritten and reconsidered this post so much over the past week and still don't feel like we have the right words. First, I want to say thank you. Thank you for all the support this community provided us when we made the move from the “original Lamp Post” to the “Eastside Lamp Post” and to this point here. The power of eating local is real. We were able to witness employees getting married, finishing school, starting families, and launching their own businesses. We were able to see customers getting married, starting families, careers, and businesses. We were able to form a community, and we loved the Eastside Lamp Post community so much. Serving you at this location for almost nine years was the biggest privilege and blessing we had.
There has been a lot of speculation about how this series of events came to pass, and rather than focus on that, we want to move forward with excitement and drive for our next opportunity. We have always been honest business owners, which is nothing less than the East Akron area deserves. Unfortunately, our time here has come to an end. We wish nothing but the best for the next venture in this space.
We would especially like to recognize Jen, Tiffany, and their families. They have been one of the biggest contributions and worked tirelessly for this operation for decades.
Again, we wish all parties involved the best. Now back to what matters more: eating local and supporting businesses that will support you! We are so fortunate in Summit County to have several awesome diners, and I hope you patronize the following:
Jack’s Happy Landing
StowNut Donut & Diner
Michael’s AM
Molly Brown’s
Honeymoon Grill
Remarkable Diner
Wally Waffle
Thank you for countless years of support. It was the biggest privilege and blessing serving Akron and the surrounding communities. Eat local, Ohio!
