Friends of Akron Pita Pit -
We’re here to deliver some sad news.
Monday, April 6 (lunch only) will be our last day of operation at this location. We’re bummed, truly, but our lease is up and we couldn’t come to terms with new lease agreements.
Being a small business (although a franchise, we are independently owned and operated), we have continually faced the adversity of rising costs. In our industry, profit margins are only so big and we can only price our products so high to stay competitive and desirable. Although the East End has been home the last 5 years, it no longer makes sense to operate out of this location at the current rates.
We tried, we’re gutted, but at the end of the day, we had to make a business decision. While we’re going to miss the East End and Akron community, we invite and encourage you to stay Pita Pit loyal and grab a pita at any of our US locations if you cross paths. If you want to stay local, come visit us up RT8 N at our new location in Cuyahoga Falls. We’re located inside the Natatorium and yes, WE ARE OPEN TO NON-NAT MEMBERS. Our EE, I know it’s not right across the street or parking lot but hopefully the food and friendships we’ve forged has made an impact, and we’ll see you again.
