If you're part of the Ajo community, you're likely aware of the tragic loss of Jing and Anadyr last week. The heart of our little town is breaking for and with their families. Jing and Anadyr brought joy to so many, and we are just so sad.
One of the ways Jing first endeared herself to the Oasis staff was that after every visit, we would find a straw wrapper left on her table, expertly folded into an origami crane. We will miss those ❤️
Please keep Cris, Alex, and their other family members in your prayers.

Here are some additonal ways you can join in supporting, from Maria Singleton:

- Starting on Sunday, August 2nd, boxes will be set up at Fat Cactus for the community to bring photos, stories and cards for both Anadyr and Jing. Cristal wants to hear stories that you may
have about Jing so that she can passs them along to family members. After the boxes have been up for a week we will package them up and give them to each family so that they have something tangible from our community. Both
Anadyr and Jing were very special people and we want their families to know that

- Cristal has been a vital part of our
community who has organized countless
community events. It is our turn to be
community for her. If you are interested in
helping out with the expenses that Cristal will now be facing you have a couple of options.There will be a secure box at Fat Cactus to drop off monetary donations. You could also put gift certificates in this box. The other option is to send a donation directly to Cristal's Venmo
account. Her Venmo handle is

- Ashley Salgado and myself are working on a meal train for Cristal. She is currently out of town so we won't set it into motion until we know her plans. Stay posted for more details
