Many people have asked where we came up with the name The Anchor Room Coffee Co. ⚓️
While an anchor can symbolize many things: strength, hope, stability, and safe harbor, the meaning behind our name is deeply personal to our family.
The business owners, Kara and Seth, both have close family ties to military service. Kara’s dad, Rob, proudly served in the Navy, and later passed away in December of 2024. He had an adventurous spirit and loved everything about the ocean, beaches, pirates, and life on the water. One of his dreams was to own a boat with the name “No Anchor”, as a reminder that adventure, curiosity, and the journey through life never truly end.
Seth’s brother, Phillip, also serves in the Navy and has been on active duty for nearly 16 years.
Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We honor their courage, their service, and the families who carry their memory forward every day.
