UPDATE: This has been a very long, exhausting and frustrating process and I have started it all over again! I am submitting permit applications, nmdot applications for the property in Hernandez. After a lot of conversations with NMED and planning and zoning I have decided to start with a food truck. Wish me luck!!!

If you have thoughts of opening a food establishment or selling a property that was a food establishment in Rio Arriba County, reach out to me. There are new regulations going into effect regarding septic systems that you will need to know BEFORE you start the process.

UPDATE: Due to size issues of the septic system, NMED has denied our application. We are still looking!

FINAL UPDATE: After months of trying to get approval for this property, we were denied based on the size of the septic system. The price to amend would be in the $10-20K range. Thank you for all your support! We are looking in to other options so we will keep you updated.
