PLEASE respectfully stop feeding our fish! We sincerely appreciate all the concern the community has had for the pond. Once we can reopen, koi feeding will be permitted again, but will remain monitored based on temperature and quantity restrictions, limited to a single spoonful, as in the past. If you’ve fed them before, you are aware! As of just this week, we have found multiple empty bags of bread in and around our pond as well as whole pieces of bread floating on the lily pads and fishing nets. We have had our precious koi fish for almost 2 decades and they have survived through extreme heat/freezing temperatures, a crane that tries to dine on them every spring, but they are NOT equipped to survive these irregular feeding patterns as well as this much stress. As a result, we will have no choice but to start pressing charges against individuals who continue to feed or attempt to remove our fish. Cameras are monitoring the area and APD will be notified of any trespassing or feeding incidents. And to those that have already taken our fish, we only hope that you have a good, spacious pond to take care of them and are not putting them in a fish tank. We appreciate your understanding.
