To all of our dear friends and customers, Tomorrow, June 14th will be our LAST DAY IN BUSINESS. There isn't much more to say, except thank you for the opportunity to serve you for the past year and half. We hope that you will remember us fondly and think that like any Mom and Pop it takes a community to uphold the good food and good values we represented. So be kind and generous to the next entrepreneurs on the block. See you tomorrow or see you in the future.

Good (?) Morning! It's raining hard out there and its even raining on my line in the kitchen. Can't seem to fix stupid roof leak properly so every time it rains out pours water on my line...since we can't cook and hold umbrellas we will be shutting down operations today. Sorry folks. :(

To all my FB friends and family: It is with an extremely heavy heart that I make this announcement. In 8 short weeks Briquets Charcoal Chicken will be closing its doors forever.
We can no longer sustain on this trajectory. We cannot do anymore to promote the business, bring back old customers, create demand for our products or meet our large overhead.
It's a simple matter of economics, we have the supply, there just isn't enough demand. We feel blessed to have been able to live out our dream if only for a short while. Maybe it wasn't the right timing, maybe we picked the wrong location. There are too many what ifs to worry my mind and burden my heart.
We had a great run, didn't we? Who knows what the future has in store for us, but we will go on. We will survive this as we have many other obstacles in our lives.
We thank you all for your patronage and support. Come say goodbye one last time before the 8 weeks are up ok?

We are feeling like kids on Christmas morning! Only in our case we will be GIVING instead of RECEIVING! So excited to open our doors to up to 70 active duty military and give them a free meal today! It's a blessing to partner with Restore Church to be able to give back to our Military inn this small but significant way. Hope to see you there! We Open our doors at 11 am!
