Fourth Friday was incredible. The weather, food, music and art made for a perfect evening. High Octane created our evening events during COVID to give people a place to enjoy while being safe. We had food trucks and music. There were nights we were paying for music and our loyal crew would be outside - maybe one or two tables. Nights where we couldn’t guarantee a food truck would have enough business to come and sometimes they wouldn’t show because they found somewhere better. This Fourth Friday season has been incredible. Last night was the perfect mix of an art show, a jewelry vendor, a sold out food truck and music that stands the test of time. When one of the musicians tells me hey I used to hang out here in the 70s when it was a gas station… and neighbor are meeting and friends are supporting the artists… this was our dream that has taken 7 years to build. Our shop has been here for 9 but our evenings have only been here for 7. There are too many to thank for this and for all the support that all of you continue to show. Nights like last night make it all worth it and although I miss our street market - it was so incredible to see Liz P Garner create the dream of giving Aberdeen a farmers market to spread the walkable flow of our little downtown. People walked, shopped, sipped, ate and smiled through our little historic downtown all because of community and collaboration. I can truly say dreams that we set in place years ago have become a reality and that is all because of all of you. It hasn’t been an easy road and I can say that sometimes I feel it’s been a harder road than I could have anticipated but that makes it feel even better. Thank you!❤️

Looking forward to the evening light peaking in as we listen to live music, with Scott Grote , great food BOBA & BITES CO LLC and an art show from Artists league of the sandhills , Tomorrow Sun selling some beautiful jewelry celebrating 9 years of community. It will be so great to see people walking and enjoying the rest of Aberdeen as they walk, shop and eat their way over to the Aberdeen Farmers Market hosted by The Aberdeen Book Nook LLC. over on the library exchange lawn.
