Hello friends!
My name is Mabel and I have been working as a safeguards practitioner since 2002. As members of our different spheres and societies, I know that we all have the responsibility to make our workplaces and communities a safer and more enjoyable place to live. I recently took a leadership course which stirred me to think of alternative ways to share our plight of safety with a wider audience. This led me on a journey of authoring a book entitled, *‘Why Did I Die?’*
The book is a collection of real-life stories of the people we meet every day. Some are stories of survival, while others are stories of death and premature endings. No matter the outcome, the stories have one theme; to urge us to do our part in making this world safe. The truth is most of the accidents we investigate could and should have been avoided. We have lost valuable people on our planet for very silly reasons. We all have a part in changing this narrative.
I am excited to share this book with you and encourage you to keep doing your part on making this world a safer place to be. Simple every day actions like wearing a helmet or buckling your seatbelt can mean the difference between life and death for you and your loved ones. Here is to long and fulfilling lives for us all!
