Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas is a stunning and intimate destination offering only few beach front bungalows. Located on a gorgeous white sandy beach on Zanzibar’s eastern coast in Matemwe village, the hotel is built of exclusively environmentally friendly, locally sourced materials. Our coconut timber and traditional palm-thatched roof bungalows stand directly
on the beach some of them even with private jacuzzi, offering idyllic views of the turquoise Indian Ocean with the Mnemba atoll in the distance. Each bungalow’s spacious interior features a traditional four-poster bed with mosquito net, hand-crafted furniture and a pristine. The bungalow terrace is where you’ll take in an expansive view of the beach, blue-green ocean and barrier reef. No need to go far for rest and recreation – two sweet water pools surrounded by a lush tropical garden with beach chairs, hammocks and futons perfect for reading or relaxing to the music gently drifting in from the two bars are right behind the bungalows. Our restaurant serves only local products, bought fresh; such as tropical fruit, fish and seafood straight from the ocean, organic vegetables, all of it served in a harmonious bevy of spices. After all, Zanzibar is also called Spice Island. The Zanzibar Sunrise at Bandas staff will happily assist you in making your vacation dreams and plans come true on our paradise island. From visits to the inimitable Stone Town, trips to spice plantations or a Safari Blue excursion complete with snorkelling among dolphins, we also offer lessons at our very own kite surfing school, to name but a few attractions.
