J'ai achevé mon analyse des boissons dans la saga des Rougon-Macquart d'Émile Zola. 20 romans qui brossent le portrait d'une famille française durant le Second Empire (1851-1870).
Le thé y a sa place, mais on retient surtout que le vin est la boisson la plus typique dans la plupart des histoires. Les alcools forts sont le sujet principal de L'Assommoir. Le café noir colle parfaitement à l'ambiance des mines dans Germinal. Mais ma découverte la plus remarquable est que Zola utilise une boisson métaphorique qui symbolise l'histoire dans 15 romans.

Oriental Beauty Oolong is a 2 in 1 kind of tea. The first brew, when done well (not too long), can taste very delicate and light, very different from the next brews. This is quite obvious from the color of the brews. The first one is much lighter. This first brew has so much finesse!

These pictures are a good reminder that water sizzling at the edge of the boiling point is ideal to brew Oolong tea, especially rolled high mountain Oolong.
