The climate, the soil and the habitat in which tea is grown all contribute to the quality of the end product. As such, King Ping focuses a significant resources in product quality control. Our tea masters and sommeliers taste test and rate each and every batch of our products. After rated for its appearance, brew color, aromas and flavors, the batch of tea is categorized and ranked by our tea experts. Product consistency is also important, and each batch of our products are tested at a minimum of 6 times for quality and consistency year-in and year-out. Ultimately, King Ping presents products that are of the highest standards and priced very competively.

Our High-Mountain Oolong Teas are cultivated and harvested at our own tea farm over 1,000m (3,200 ft) above sea level. The temperate and humid climate allows the tea leaves to grow and mature slowly, resulting in a tea that is smooth, delicate and floral and has a long, lingering finish. The leaves are handpicked on the perfect days and hours, and our tea-master then processes these whole leaves into our most premium products.

Our tea plants at our tea farm in Moc Chau, Vietnam are cultivated by our Taiwanese tea-master with more than 40 years of experience. His family has been growing award winning tea in Taiwan for multiple generations. The high altitude, humidity and the temperate climate in Moc Chau allows us to grow premium tea in much larger quantities than we would be able to in Taiwan.
