Went up to the factory for the first couple days of spring harvest. There is just no substitute for being on site to learn the intricacies and challenges in the industry. Our respect and appreciation for these professionals with decades of hard work and dedication that make them the best tea makers in the world. Itโ€™s not easy!

We can sit here and gaze at this mountain side for years. It feels like. This is the view from the factory where our Li Shan High Mountain Oolong Tea is made. The name of the village is โ€œHeavenly Pondโ€. Fitting ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿƒโค๏ธ

It took three visits within one week to our go to sources of Alishan tea during the peak of spring harvest season. Our second visit was two days prior and we tasted a half finished product of the tea that we finally decided on when it was still being rolled and dried. We liked what we tasted the first time and then we liked it better when it was completely rolled and dried. Happy! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ”ฅโค๏ธ๐Ÿƒ

These guys have barely changed since we first visited this tea factory 30 years ago! At least that is how we felt when we stopped by and saw them sitting there. It was a beautiful moment. The last photo in this clip is from that first visit with Tony Lin, our teacher and โ€œTaiwanese big brotherโ€, and cousin of โ€œAh Shan Geโ€, who is sitting on the right in the first photo. So grateful for our life in tea. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ
