Established by two former champions of Turkey, Urla Sarf House, which offers different services such as a kitesurfing centre, hotel, restaurant and event space, is located in Gülbahçe, Urla, 45 minutes from the center of İzmir. You can take kitesurfing lessons from professional instructors at the kitesurf center between May and October, rent equipment from the center or come and skate with your own equipment. In the hotel, which is operated with the zero waste principle, you can stay in rooms that are decorated with inspiration from different cultures and vary in comfort and size. You can enjoy the pool in the garden area all day long, dine at the restaurant serving healthy food prepared with local foods at all hours of the day, and drink different cocktails at the mixology bar. Urla Surf House offers many different activities and experiences together with the skateboard ramp in the garden, SUP boards in the sea, concerts that continue throughout the season and DJ selections.

22 Ağustos gecesi Surf House biraz daha analog, biraz daha karanlık ve bolca hareketliydi. 📺📼

KARAPRHY’nin plaklardan gelen house, acid, elektro ve indie seçkileri; LOGIEAC’in CRT ekranlar, VHS kasetler ve eski video mikserleriyle ürettiği canlı görsellerle buluştu.

Müzik bir tarafta, görüntüler diğer tarafta değil; ikisi de gecenin aynı parçasıydı. Eski ekipmanlar, güçlü ses, sürekli değişen görüntüler ve bahçeyi dolduran güzel bir kalabalıkla kendi dünyasını kuran bir gece oldu.

August 22 at Surf House was a little more analog, a little darker and full of movement. 📺📼

KARAPRHY’s vinyl-driven mix of house, acid, electro and indie met LOGIEAC’s live visuals created with CRT screens, VHS tapes and vintage video mixers.

The music and visuals weren’t separate parts of the night they moved together. Old gear, powerful sound, constantly shifting images and a garden full of people created a world of its own for a few hours.

Okul ekibi Surf House’u ne kadar iyi tanıyor dersiniz?

Bu kez biraz rüzgârı ve dersleri kenara bırakıp ekibin Surf House hafızasını test ettik. Kuruluş yılından okulun ekipmanlarına, sahilde her gün gördükleri detaylardan “bunu nasıl bilmezsin?” dedirten sorulara kadar birkaç küçük soru hazırladık.

Aynı yerde her gün vakit geçirince insan her şeyi biliyor sanıyor ama cevaplar gelmeye başlayınca işler biraz değişti.

İzmir’de doğup hip-hop kültürüyle büyüyen Ege Çubukçu, yıllardır kendine özgü sound’u ve enerjisiyle taşıdığı hikâyesini bu kez Urla’ya getiriyor.

Ezbere bildiğimiz parçalar, hip-hop ve yazın son günlerine yakışacak güzel bir gece için Surf House’ta buluşuyoruz.

Rüzgâr çıkınca okulun ritmi değişiyor.

Kite’lar hazırlanıyor, board’lar kıyıya taşınıyor, son kontroller yapılıyor ve suya çıkma zamanı geliyor.

İlk kez kite’ı kontrol etmeyi öğrenenlerden yeni hareketler deneyenlere, sadece güzel bir session’ın tadını çıkarmaya gelenlere kadar herkes aynı rüzgârda buluşuyor. Günün sonunda geriye biraz tuz, biraz yorgunluk ve bolca keyif kalıyor. 🤙

Surf House’ta kitesurf sadece suyun üstünde geçen zamandan ibaret değil. Hazırlığından ilk metrelerine, düşüşlerden yeniden denemelere ve o güzel high five’lara kadar bütün hikâyeyi seviyoruz.

When the wind picks up, the whole rhythm of the school changes.

Kites come out, boards make their way to the beach, final checks are done and it’s time to hit the water.

From learning to control a kite for the first time to working on new tricks or simply enjoying a good session, everyone meets under the same wind. By the end of the day, there’s always a little salt, a little tiredness and a lot of good energy left behind. 🤙

At Surf House, kitesurfing is about much more than the time spent on the water. From getting ready and riding those first few metres to falling, trying again and sharing those well-earned high fives, we love every part of it.

Surf House’a gelince günün nasıl geçeceğini çok da planlamana gerek yok.

Önce yerleşirsin, biraz yavaşlarsın. Bahçede kendine bir köşe bulur, kahveni alır, etrafı keşfetmeye başlarsın. Belki biraz denge, biraz havuz, Surf Shop’ta kısa bir tur…

Sonra rüzgâr kendini göstermeye başlar.

Sahile geçer, öğrenir, denersin ve günün bir noktasında kendini suyun üzerinde bulursun.

Burada mesele sadece konaklamak ya da kitesurf yapmak değil.
Baştan sona kendine ait bir Surf House deneyimi yaşamak.

Bu Cumartesi Surf House’ta müzik ve görüntü aynı gecede buluşuyor.

KARAPRHY x LOGIEAC, analog video dünyasını house, acid, elektro ve indie seçkilerle bir araya getiren görsel-işitsel performanslarıyla geliyor.

LOGIEAC; CRT televizyonlar, eski video mikserleri ve VHS kasetlerle canlı görseller üretirken, KARAPRHY plak ağırlıklı setiyle gecenin ritmini kuruyor. Yer yer acid, biraz elektro, biraz indie ve bolca house.

Underground kulüp kültürü, VHS estetiği ve eski ekipmanların yarattığı o kendine has atmosfer bu kez Surf House’a taşınıyor.

Mangaldan yükselen kokular, bahçede soğuk içecekler, skate session ve Surf House’un klasik Cumartesi rahatlığı.

İster skate için gel, ister BBQ’ya yetiş, ister sadece bahçede takıl. Günün olayı çok basit: güzel insanlar, güzel müzik ve bolca chill.
