Not every transformation starts from scratch. 🌿

This time, our goal wasn’t to build a brand-new garden.

It was to bring back to life a garden that had been left untouched for months and turn it into a space where people would want to spend time again.

With care, patience, and the right finishing touches, this neglected garden is now ready for new memories.

And in just a few weeks, as the lawn grows back lush and green, the transformation will be even more rewarding. 💚

Bu kez amacımız sıfırdan yeni bir bahçe yapmak değildi.

Aylarca ilgilenilmemiş bir bahçeyi yeniden hayata döndürmek ve insanların tekrar keyifle vakit geçirmek isteyeceği bir yaşam alanına dönüştürmekti.

Özen, sabır ve doğru dokunuşlarla bu ihmal edilmiş bahçe artık yeni anılara ev sahipliği yapmaya hazır.

Ve en güzel kısmı da şu: Birkaç hafta içinde çimler yeniden gür ve yemyeşil olduğunda, bu dönüşüm çok daha etkileyici görünecek. 💚

One of the things that impressed me most at Blijdorp wasn’t just the animals—it was the incredible plant diversity. Tropical and exotic plants from around the world are beautifully integrated into the habitats, making you feel as if you’re walking through a real rainforest. If you love nature and plants, this is definitely a place worth visiting. 🌿
Blijdorp’u gezerken beni en çok etkileyen şeylerden biri sadece hayvanlar değil, zengin bitki çeşitliliği de oldu. Dünyanın farklı bölgelerinden gelen tropikal ve egzotik bitkiler, doğal yaşam alanlarıyla uyum içinde sergileniyor. Kendinizi adeta bir yağmur ormanında yürüyormuş gibi hissediyorsunuz. Doğayı ve bitkileri seviyorsanız burası mutlaka görülmeye değer.

Yesterday, I came across a post from the

It said that July 12 is the International Day of Hope and asked a simple question:

“What does hope mean to you?”

For me, July 12 has always meant something special—it’s my birthday. 😊

It’s a reminder that every birthday is another chance to begin again. As long as we’re alive, there is always room for hope.

Ironically, hope found me this year in the form of a small Callistemon tree.

A few months ago, while we were moving into our new home, life became hectic. Between unpacking, renovations, and settling in, I couldn’t give my plants the attention they deserved. Then an unexpected heatwave arrived.

One morning, I looked at my Callistemon and my heart sank. It looked completely dead. Every leaf had turned brown, and I genuinely thought I had lost it.

But its trunk still looked healthy.

So I kept watering it.

Not because I was certain it would recover, but because I wasn’t ready to give up on it.

Two weeks ago, while I was on the phone, something caught my eye. At the very tip of one of its dry branches was the tiniest green shoot.

I walked over and looked more closely.

There wasn’t just one.

There were dozens.

Today, nearly half of the tree has turned green again, and I know that in a few more weeks it will be thriving once more. 🌱

Sometimes hope doesn’t arrive with dramatic change.

Sometimes it begins as a tiny green shoot on what seems completely lifeless.

And sometimes, all it needs is a little more time—and someone who refuses to stop believing.

Today, that’s what hope means to me. ❤️

Üstelik etkinliğimiz oyun parkında!Çocuklar özgürce oynayıp koşarken, biz anneler de keyifle sohbet edip kahvemizi içebileceğiz ☕
