TAU - a fresh awakening
“TAU” is a German word that can be roughly translated as “dew”, and just as the morning dew settles on the grass after a long night, TAU is a fresh awakening into new musical adventures. Irregular rhythms, virtuous solos and heart-wrenching melodies, all embedded in the vibe of the desert - this is the sound of TAU.
The quintet was founded in early 2022 by a group of German and Israeli musicians in the town of Mitzpe Ramon, Israel. Set in the middle of the desert, that isolated oasis has much more to offer than rocks and sandstorms: a thriving music scene based around the music school “Internal Compass Institute”, in which most of TAU’s members study.
