💐謝謝客人視覺💓（English below)

有些客人離開之後，留下的是一段會讓你反覆重看的文字。謝謝這幾位可愛客人：這幾天，他們不單記錄了早餐、私房菜，也記錄了我們一起聊天的片段，還有兩隻貓店長、和我們那隻總是保持安全距離的狗狗，以及屋子裡那些我們以為再平常不過的小細節，還送給我們兩段文字。

每天早餐，我們總會由一塊 sourdough 開始，聊到咖啡、食材、餐廳、旅行，再聊到生活。都是愛吃的人，所以每天都有說不完的話。

我一直相信，一頓飯真正留下來的，不只是味道。

經營民宿這幾年，最開心的，從來不是收到一句「很好吃」、「住得很舒服」，而是遇見一群同樣熱愛食物、熱愛旅行、願意放慢腳步感受生活的人。同頻共振的人，真的會彼此找到彼此。

期待下次再繼續聊那些永遠聊不完的美食故事。

在清邁成千上萬間民宿之中，究竟是什麼樣的人，會選擇來到我們這裡？

這是我常常思考的一個問題。慢慢發現，選擇入住我們民宿的客人，很多都不只是想找一個住宿的地方。有些人喜歡交流，想知道我們為什麼搬到清邁生活，想聽聽我們眼中的清邁；有些人則希望旅程能夠更輕鬆，因此願意把行程、餐飲，甚至長輩和小朋友的需要交給我們照顧。

這次入住的是一家四口。
兩位年輕夫婦帶著爸爸媽媽一起來清邁旅行。回想起來，我發現我們經常吸引到這類家庭旅客。

許多第一次來清邁的長輩，多少都會有些擔心：語言是否不通？交通會不會不方便？飲食是否合口味？而我們最希望做到的，就是讓他們慢慢放下這些顧慮，安心享受旅程。

最讓我開心的是，這兩位年輕夫婦和我們十分投契。有時候，人與人的相遇真的很奇妙。當遇到頻率相近的人，聊天會變得特別自在，分享生活、聊旅行、談清邁，不知不覺時間便過去了。

他們一到埗就特地從曼谷買的奶茶送給我們作為小禮物。我未飲已先甜在心頭。🥴

後來收到他們留下的這篇五星評價，更讓我們十分感動。每一次看見客人願意花時間寫下這麼長的一段文字，都提醒著我們，原來那些看似微不足道的用心——一頓晚餐、一份每天不同的早餐、一句旅遊建議、一點點陪伴——客人都默默記在心裡。謝謝你們選擇了我們，也謝謝你們留下這份珍貴的回憶。期待有一天，能再次在清邁與你們相遇。❤️

Among the thousands of accommodations in Chiang Mai, what kind of guests choose to stay with us?
It's a question I often find myself thinking about.

Over time, I've realized that many of our guests are looking for more than just a place to stay.

Some enjoy meaningful conversations and are curious about why we chose to build our life in Chiang Mai. Others simply want a worry-free holiday, trusting us with restaurant recommendations, local tips, and even meals tailored for their children or elderly parents.

This time, we had the pleasure of hosting a family of four—a young couple travelling with their parents.

Looking back, I've noticed that we often attract families like theirs.

For many older guests visiting Chiang Mai for the first time, it's natural to have concerns. Will the language be a barrier? Is transportation convenient? Will the food suit them?

What we hope to offer is peace of mind, so they can simply relax and enjoy their journey.
One of the happiest parts of this stay was how naturally we connected with the young couple. Sometimes you meet people who are simply on the same wavelength. We chatted about life, travel, and Chiang Mai as if we'd known each other for years.

When they arrived, they even surprised us with Thai milk tea they had specially brought from Bangkok as a gift. Before I even took the first sip, it had already warmed my heart. 🥴
A few days later, we received this beautiful 5-star review.

Every time a guest takes the time to write such thoughtful words, it reminds us that the little things we do—a home-cooked dinner, a different homemade breakfast each morning, a travel recommendation, or simply spending time together—are never as small as we think.

🍳 私廚主理：每日不一樣的早餐驚喜

很多客人跟我說：每天在我們的民宿醒來都期待著早餐驚喜。因為我們堅持每天供應不同口味的自家製酸種麵包，風味各異卻麥香十足。其中最受歡迎的莫過於北非蛋配黑麥酸種多士。為了照顧不同年齡住客的口味，我們用了大量蔬菜、蕃茄和紅甜椒熬製，每一口都是蔬菜原實美味，配以香脆麥香多士，吃完份外滿足。

🍳 Private Chef’s Daily Breakfast Surprise
A lot of our guests tell us they wake up actually looking forward to breakfast! Every morning is a little surprise here—we serve a different flavor of our homemade sourdough every single day, always fresh and packed with that deep, malty aroma.

Our absolute crowd-favorite? The Shakshuka with Rye Sourdough Toast. To make sure everyone from kids to seniors can enjoy it, we skip the heavy spices and slow-cook it with heaps of fresh veggies, tomatoes, and red bell peppers. It’s naturally sweet, wholesome, and hits the spot perfectly when paired with that crunchy rye toast.

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m actually a travel writer. I’d love to share some of my secret, off-the-beaten-path travel tips with you during your stay to make your trip extra special.

Thaew Thaew大部份時間我們都是接待小組客人吃私房菜，一般是4位至6位。過往我們迎接一大組客人的時候，通常是分兩桌，讓大家坐得比較舒服一些。不過最近迎來這9位客人，他們希望能夠吃長桌晚餐，確實一大班人能夠出行已經不容易，希望能夠都坐在一起吃飯有說有笑，真的是一件難能可貴的事。所以我們嘗試調整一下我們的餐桌佈置，效果也很不錯呢。

和客人聊天也是一件我很享受的事。
我們從本地的食材，聊到有點嚇怕他們的泰北菜（笑笑^_^這個我可以另外寫一個故事呢）也聊到很多我喜歡的清邁本地餐廳。感謝他們也很享受這個晚上，他們有美好的飲食體驗，我也有一次難忘的接待體驗。🙏🏼🙏🏼

Most of the time at Thaew Thaew, we host small groups—usually parties of 4 to 6 guests. In the past, when we welcomed larger groups, we would normally arrange two separate tables so everyone could sit more comfortably.

However, before these 9 guests arrive
, they hoped to enjoy a long-table dinner together. After all, getting a big group of friends together for a trip isn’t always easy, and they wanted to share the evening at one table—eating, chatting, and laughing together. Moments like that are truly special. So we tried rearranging our dining setup to create a long table for them, and it turned out wonderfully.

Chatting with guests is also something I truly enjoy. We talked about local ingredients, about Northern Thai cuisine (which may have frightened them just a little! 😄 — perhaps that’s a story for another post), and about many of my favorite local restaurants in Chiang Mai.

I’m grateful that they enjoyed the evening so much. They had a memorable dining experience, and I had a wonderful and unforgettable hosting experience as well. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

🥳🥳🥳This past New Year, we were lucky enough to spend not just one, but “two years” together with this wonderful Polish family 😆 — a memory we will truly cherish.

We are deeply grateful that you were open and adventurous enough to try the experience of staying in a home with hosts. Meeting your family and sharing this time together has been a rare and meaningful connection for us.

Thank you for so generously sharing your stories, culture, and everyday life from Poland. It felt like we were already on an imaginary journey to your country. We sincerely hope that one day we’ll be able to visit you there — to sit together again, have a drink, and continue our conversations, just like old friends.
