We are now closed.. Famous Ray's is a social enterprise created by the non-profit organization, The Journey. The Journey Thailand Mission: We exist to create opportunities for the Burmese people by living Kingdom-minded lives and developing self-sustaining business strategies. FAMOUS RAY'S HISTORY:
The inaugural Journey team of 10 leaders flew to Thailand in January 2013 and started the process of
bringing their vision of bringing sustainable change to life in Mae Sot. After much relationship building with local ministries, NGO’s, and the Burmese population, The Journey team dove into creating business ideas in order to bring change and opportunity to the Burmese people. They soon learned that many Burmese people are in desperate need of steady, fair-paying jobs in order to survive. The Journey team, in partnership with Outpour Movement decided it was time for that unacceptable reality to change. They assembled their Burgers For Burma Campaign and opened Famous Ray's 4 months later. Famous Ray's has currently employed 10 full-time Burmese employees and plans to use a portion of the profits to aid community development projects in Burma. For more information visit:
