Families with teenagers ?

Many of you will know us for the educational trips and experiences we design.

We are wanting to try something different - partly for our own teenager. We would like to create a social space for teenagers that is an antidote to screen life.

We have a cafe near to Lanna International School Thailand which is perfect for this. There could be space downstairs for adults and space upstairs for kids. Our plan is not to make a bunch of money but rather to build a positive environment for teenagers.

Our plan so far is to offer a movie night (we have a big-screen projector) and a music night (we have musical instruments) - No charge for either.
Any other ideas?

We have many commitments and would like to find other families who might be willing to collaborate.

We are excited to host this craft event! Fernanda Fan is an internationally renowned painter who is currently in Chiang Mai.

Having once been a commercial artist, she experienced an unprecedented flow of inspiration and creative energy when she left her native China. By blending elements of everyday life with Eastern traditions—especially the distinctive cultural symbols of ethnic minorities—she has developed her own artistic language.
As part of the craft activity, Fernanda will talk about her artistic journey and she will kindly display some of her large and striking works.

In this session, she will share several of her recent acrylic paintings and invite everyone to explore how art can naturally integrate into daily life. Participants will also create handmade candles using dried flowers and essential oils, and decorate the containers with simple macramé. Through this process, you will experience the serene beauty of nature with your own hands. The finished pieces can be gifted to friends or used during meditation—when lit, the natural fragrance helps inspiration flow continuously.
