Drop donations for those less fortunate or shop in our thrift store to support our foundation for refugees from Burma. Come by and feed your belly, heart and mind in our unique "cafe with a cause." We serve delicious, fresh, organic vegan food along with smoothies, juices, coffees and desserts all while supporting a community language and arts program for refugees!

Here are pictures from the last few weeks of our Weekly Women’s Lunch, which 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹 and I (Lisa) host. Next month we will celebrate 10 years of meeting every single Wednesday 12-2pm. A full decade of friendship, womanhood, support, networking, laughing, eating good food, and making lasting relationships that have continued on all over the world.
This is truly something special, and I’m so honored for Free Bird Cafe CNX Donation Center and Thrift Store to be at the heart of it.
Every week I meet such incredible people, from all walks of life, all ages, and backgrounds, I think we’ve literally talked about everything you could think of around this table, thank you all for being here, everyone who has sat at this table over the last 10 years on Wednesdays.
In honor of you all, every year on the anniversary, we host an extra special, fun lunch, with giveaways, this year it will be on 28 Oct. More details soon!

Yesterday, my old friend who used to take me to the border areas often for donation distribution, came to pick up some clothes and other items to send to newly arrived IDP’s in Karenni State, Myanmar. We were able to also send along some stuffed animals and kid toys that were donated recently, they came back to fill their truck a few times.
We appreciate everyone who brings in the donated items, our team who spends hours everyday separating, sorting, and packing them, and our partners who help us get them to those who need them most. 🙏🏽

Hello friends, we will close Sunday, 20 September for an annual staff retreat. Only the Chiang Mai location.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience, and we will see you again the following Tuesday – because we’re always closed on Mondays.
And of course we’re open today, Thursday, Friday, Saturday as usual this week 💚

So cool! Sustainability in action! This is the monthly BUY NOTHING CHIANG MAI IN PERSON MEET UP, every second Sunday at Free Bird Cafe CNX Donation Center and Thrift Store next one is 11 Oct.
You can come to drop off things that you no longer need, or just come to find new treasures for yourself, or both, all is free!
Please note that this is separate from our actual donation center and thrift store, and anything left over from this event is put in our donation center.
You can always drop off donations of household items and clothing and usable condition, anytime during business hours for our donation center, Free Bird Cafe.

Such a great meet up yesterday! Huge thanks to our friend Moon Bearry for organizing these meet ups usually on the second Sunday (same day as the Buy Nothing Meet Up) and last Sunday of the month (same day as the Swapaholic women’s fashion show).
It’s beautiful building this community in our space, thank you to everyone who joined!
