Back in Yame, Fukuoka! 🍵✨

This trip, we went back to the beautiful tea fields of Yame to catch up with the farmers who grow the Yame Matcha for our shop. We sat down to talk about this year’s harvest, the quality, and how everything is going in the matcha world right now.

And of course, we couldn’t miss Hoshino Village, it really is the most beautiful village to us. We do have some sad but understandable news, Hoshino Kagayaki won’t be back on our shelves this year, and probably for a few more years. But we completely understand why.

Farming depends so much on nature, and we totally respect that. We’re just so excited to bring the taste and the updates from Yame back to your cup! 💚

🌱 We spent our mornings in the tea farm and our afternoons sharing tea with the local farmers. There were no big factorie, just small family plots and people who have spent their entire lives perfecting a single craft. Watching them work showed us that great tea that it’s made by patience and a deep connection to the land. We brought these stories back with us, along with the tea we’re so proud to serve.
Our journey took us across Japan with one simple goal to find the best tea for our shop. We didn’t just visit the famous cities we went deep into the countryside to meet the people who grow our tea with love and respect.
Because we want you to have the same experience we had. When you taste our matcha, you aren’t just drinking tea, you’re tasting the soil, the weather, and the hard work of our farmer partners.
