As a Chef in the western world and a great foodie my experience with the restaurant have been more than amazing, even after a meal and a walk its the type of friendly place that you could call back into and just sit and chat with the lovely staff

Ong's Thai and Isaan Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant is new to Kanchanaburi but has defiantly taken off with no problems at all.. During the day it becomes a lovely restaurant and cooking school all mixed into one!! Its nice to see the food been cooked in front of you as well as also learning a few tricks why you eat

The cooking classes are at 600 Baht Per person and are as much about cooking as well as a little dancing and laughter

You have the choice of any 3 main dishes that are on the menu and a dessert and if there is something you are really wanting to learn and is not on the menu a recipe can be arranged with no stress at all

Cooking classes are quiet flexible, sometimes no appointment is needed.. At your convenience is words that she lives by

Meals are so so beautiful and you can tell it is cooked with love, prices range from 40b for a main and a side of brown rice for10b so really you are getting a healthy thai vegetarian meal for next to nothing, and also giving your body the love it needs

This is Sarah from the US by way of Bangkok. Khun On is the best cooking teacher! She was so welcoming and did all of the hard prep work. All the veggies were pre-chopped. She taught me how to make green chili paste for the Vegan Green Curry, explaining all of the ingredients ขอบคุณค่ะอ้อน along the way. I used a mortar and pestle, and was awed by her expert guidance.

We then made my favorites- som tum, rahdna, and finally the sticky rice for Kai Niew Ma Muang- mango sticky rice. Khun On explained all of the ingredients and steps as we were cooking.

Most importantly, it was all delicious อร่อยมากๆ

“Today I learned how to make, Massaman & red curry and more from On herself!
The food is amazing here, 100/10 would recommend to come eat here. On is a lovely lady with good English and she took her time to teach me her ways.
If you don’t have the time to follow the cooking class, small group about 1,5-2 hour, please visit and just eat here, you’ll be amazed.”

“We did 6 dishes and 2 desserts together with On. She was very fun to cook with and made sure we had a great time experiencing Thai cuisine. Everything we cooked tasted just perfect, since we could personalize the sweet, sour, salty, spicy levels.

I especially liked that she was up to date with allergies and made sure everything is gluten free for me, I could experience the tastes without having to worry for a second.

We received all the recipes such that we can also cook at home, in Hungary.”
