Nang Loeng is also home to one of the most well regarded form of Thai traditional performance known as Lakorn Chatree (ละครชาตรี). In the past Nang Loeng is home to one of the best Lakorn Chatree troupe in the country and is known to be the best in Bangkok. However due to social and cultural changes as Thailand opened up to western culture Lakorn Chatree's importance as for of entertainment was significantly phased by the arrival of Hollywood entertainment. Fortunately due to the assistance of the elders in the community, this page has been set up to archived the history of Nang Loeng and provide useful informations for people who are interested.

Nang Loeng is a community in Bangkok located in the area known as Phra Nakorn which is the seat of power for Rattanakosin Kingdom and later Thailand. Nang Loeng however is considered important to Thailand as it was the hub for arts, entertainment, and culture of Bangkok before the prominence of Ratchaprasong. Nang Loeng is now home to one of the oldest market in Bangkok.
