Baa/Ga/Din is, first and foremost about a deep respect for the flavors, colors and vibrancy of the food eaten by Thais for generations on street corners, store fronts and from push carts. Thai street food has an iconic role in the perception of Thailand to visitors and a deep seated, almost spiritual relationship with the Thai. This is the food of legends where the finest vendors have been discovered many years ago and with a flick of the wrist, a bit of this and a bit of that one’s taste buds are stimulated , queues are formed, plates heaped high and sighs of disappointment are heard when there is no more. It is from this deep respect and attachment to the food of his culture that chef Thitid Tassanakajorn (Le Du, Taper, Baan) aka chef Ton has created Baa/Ga/Din’s “Modern Thai Street Food .”
