It was originally developed as a cheap, portable street food for the working poor before evolving into the global phenomenon that gained massive international popularity in the 20th century.While ancient civilizations from the Egyptians to the Romans consumed flatbreads with various toppings, the true genesis of modern pizza involved several specific milestones.
The famous modern variant, the Margherita, evolved in 1889 when the Royal Palace commissioned Neapolitan chef Raffaele Esposito to create a special pizza honoring Queen Margherita of Savoy. He topped his dough with red tomatoes, white mozzarella cheese, and green basil to mirror the colors of the Italian flag.

To ensure every pizza is enjoyed at its very best,
we do not offer home delivery, as we believe authentic Neapolitan pizza is best enjoyed fresh from our wood-fired oven.
