🌶️ Stir-Fried Pork with Bell Peppers
Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
* 300 g pork loin or pork shoulder, sliced into bite-sized pieces
* 3–4 bell peppers (any color), sliced
* 1/2 onion, sliced
* 1 tbsp minced garlic
* 1 red chili, sliced diagonally (optional, for color)
* 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Seasoning
* 2 tbsp oyster sauce
* 1 tbsp light soy sauce
* 1/2 tsp dark sweet soy sauce
* 1 tsp sugar
* 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
* 2–3 tbsp water
Instructions
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
2. Add the pork and stir-fry until it is almost cooked through.
3. Season with the oyster sauce, light soy sauce, dark sweet soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well.
4. Add 2–3 tablespoons of water and continue stir-frying until the pork is evenly coated with the sauce.
5. Add the onion and bell peppers. Stir-fry over high heat for 1–2 minutes, keeping the vegetables slightly crisp.
6. Add the sliced red chili (if using), give everything a final stir, and remove from the heat.
Tips
* Pork shoulder is recommended for a more tender and juicy texture.
* Avoid overcooking the bell peppers to keep them crisp and brightly colored.
* If you enjoy spicy food, add fresh chilies or fresh peppercorns for extra heat.
🍚 Serve hot with steamed jasmine rice or a fried egg. Enjoy! 😋
