Even though it's the low season, we're grateful that our customers still choose to visit us. ❤️

We truly believe that the first visit is just the beginning. One great experience leads to another, and before long, first-time guests become loyal customers.

Nothing makes us happier than knowing our guests enjoy both our food and our service.

Just yesterday, we welcomed several large groups from morning until midnight. Even with only two of us running the restaurant, we managed to serve everyone smoothly. There were no long waits, the food and drinks came out on time, and seeing our customers leave with smiles made all the hard work worthwhile.

We understand that this time of year is quieter. Some days are busy, while others are slow. But one thing never changes—if you choose to dine with us, we'll always do our very best to make sure you enjoy a delicious meal and warm hospitality.

Our guests have been dining with us every day during their one-week stay on Koh Chang.

Tomorrow, they will continue their journey to Vietnam before returning home to Sweden.

We would like to sincerely thank them for enjoying the homemade flavors of our mother's cooking and for appreciating the service provided by our team.

During their time on Koh Chang, they joined us for breakfast, lunch, and even ordered takeaway meals to enjoy back at their accommodation.

We are truly happy to have been a small part of their holiday, their smiles, their laughter, and the wonderful memories they created here on Koh Chang.

For us, seeing guests return again and again is one of the greatest rewards and motivations we could ever receive.

Today is a day of profound sorrow for the people of Thailand.

The Royal Household Bureau has announced the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhida.

Her Royal Highness passed away peacefully on 11 June 2026 at 7:48 PM, at the age of 47.

Throughout her life, Her Royal Highness dedicated herself to serving the Kingdom, upholding justice, supporting the well-being of the Thai people, and carrying out her royal duties with unwavering commitment and grace.

With deepest respect, gratitude, and remembrance, we join the nation in mourning this profound loss. Her kindness, devotion, and contributions to Thailand will forever be remembered.

May Her Royal Highness rest in eternal peace.

During the long holiday from May 1–4, 2026, Koh Chang experienced severe traffic congestion.

The queue of vehicles heading onto the island stretched up to 7 kilometers, while the line of cars waiting to return to the mainland extended over 5 kilometers, leaving many vehicles stuck for hours. Koh Chang is a destination with tremendous potential. During long holidays, it is clear that tourist numbers continue to grow.

However, one persistent issue remains: spending is not well distributed. Income is still concentrated in only certain areas or businesses, while many small local entrepreneurs do not fully benefit. In reality, Koh Chang can be visited all year round it is not limited to the high season.

The island offers rich and diverse natural beauty, including crystal-clear seas, mountains, forests, and waterfalls. It caters to all types of travelers, whether they seek relaxation, nature, or adventure.

In terms of food, Koh Chang offers a wide range of quality dining options from cafés to fresh seafood restaurants. The food is delicious, affordable, and diverse, serving both Thai and international visitors.

This is a strong advantage that could be further developed
with more effective promotion and presentation. However, a key ongoing challenge is the lack of consistent and strategic promotion, along with recurring issues that have yet to be properly addressed. As a result, the island’s full potential has not yet been realized.

Another important factor affecting the tourist experience is transportation. Although the ferry crossing itself takes only 45–50 minutes, in reality, visitors often spend several hours waiting in line to board, especially during peak periods. This becomes a significant inconvenience that impacts the overall travel experience.

If improvements can be made in transportation management,
alongside better income distribution and targeted promotion, Koh Chang could evolve from simply “a beautiful eco-tourism destination” into a high-quality travel destination
that visitors are eager to return to.

On one side, there is world-class natural beauty. On the other, there is an unresolved travel experience challenge. Koh Chang is not just a tourist destination. It represents opportunity for many people.
And it is a hidden gem waiting to be refined and shine to its fullest potential ✨

A lovely guest who comes to eat at our restaurant every day sometimes even twice a day.

On the first day, they ordered sweet and sour chicken. After that, they tried cashew nut chicken. Since then, these two dishes have become their favorites, alternating between meals.

What makes it even more heartwarming is that the guest has been practicing how to order food in Thai. They’ve been trying to speak Thai better each day and that effort is truly adorable.

The most touching moment was when the guest wanted to compliment Grandma Jinda, our cook. So they said to her in Thai,
“You cook very well.”

Here at Aroon Rai Koh Chang, we have beautiful little stories, smiles, laughter, and happiness every single day.

A place that feels like home taking care of everyone who walks in.
